ThisHas it ever occured to ian that maybe his show was just not very good? Say what you will about SU's later seasons but it never had to rely on countless crossovers for attention and had better animation, which isn't saying much.
I will admit, I'll have a slight appreciation for OK due to the Sonichu joke and general vibe it was trying to archive
It's pretty clear that Ian is most likely a chill dude hopefully, (compared to other mordren creators) and in hindsight with what Cartoon Network trying to do now, OK KO was trying to be atleast a fun show that doesn't take it self seriously
Something I wish more cartoons brother, as now, they only want to be this forced overdramatic shit for Twitter clicks
(Also, OK KO was probably the last show that gavs there female characters any boobs or curves)
But at the end of day, it's still a poorly paced, poorly drawn, and not all that funny
What makes shows Grim works, is that they can wear their inspirations on there sleeves, while still standing on there own
With OK KO, if you don't understand the reference, you will get lost, and I don't know what kid would understand or be inserted in it, thus, can't stand on it's own
Honestly OKKO reminds me of FNF
Like, it's clearly takes it's inspirations of past, and you know, I'm sympathetic, because I too liked the old Newsground aesthetic, and I can't stand how bland, homogeneous and political driven modren video games are, and you want to go back
But doesn't change the fact that those old Newsgrounds content sucks ass / poorly age
And it doesn't make FNF automatically good or even unique, because they use aesthetics form a bye gone era
It's still a DRD clone at the end of day
OKKO, is still a typical cheap modren CN at the end of day
It's just a epilogue series for the HBO Max streaming seriesThis show's still on? It had been run into the ground last time I saw it and that was like five years ago.
The show is over lol
