As others pointed out, the point itself is very salient and should be applied to all corporations, not just Disney. But the way he acts, while again being employed by the very people he despises, just comes across as a bitter housewife who’s taking her unhappy marriage out on everybody else. He could easily just leave but stays to mooch off his friend’s shows, making his point come off as a bit disingenuous.
Shit like this really makes me look at the 90s and 00s era with so much fondness; the lack of easily accessible social media really helped.

Exactly my point. The statement, while true, loses its impact when it's coming from someone like Hirsch. Same when all the industry cogs currently employed by Disney et al rushed to Amphibia's defense last month. This cellar of whine bottles are benefiting from the very system they bitch about. No shit disney has issues but thousands would kill to have those jobs. They need to ride out the contracts and then rage against the machine.

I always felt the reaction with Amphibia was way overblown even if I agree there was a fuck up on Disney’s part.
And their reactions are all the more notable when you compare them to Disney alumni who got screwed over even worse like the creators of American Dragon or Craig McCracken. While they’re regretful they couldn’t do more with their shows, they’re respectful enough to not burn bridges over Twitter.
Heck, even Hideki Kamiya is more graceful about his former and current employers.

Or that these shows' writers/animators have seen them, developed them and decided to insert them under the guise of "jokes".

Point is, the industry has always been degenerate, and I'm 100% convinced most cartoon creators have some kind of fetish, or fetishes, hiding in their closet. And that's for both Western and Eastern animation industries.

By this point, why doesn't WarnerMedia just retire the Cartoon Network branding all together? The channel is so far removed from what it used to be they might as well call it something else.

In other news the showrunner for Mao Mao Heroes of Pure Heart (one of the shows on CN) is mad on Twitter that someone leaked production art and info online indirectly confirming the show had been cancelled to make room for preschool shit.

It's funny because one of the leakers was on /co/ claiming they worked for Titmouse and confirming the show was over months ago with zero evidence. I was in one of those threads calling them a lying faggot and making fun of them until they actually showed proof :o. One of the screencaps they posted was a confidential shared work folder and now they have HR at the studio trying to find out who posted them. I sure hope it was worth it lol.

What evidence do you have? In the actual cartoons they did love their butt jokes, but I've never heard anything about them being furries.

Edit: Looks more like a programing block than a rebranding to me.
 
So that Adult Swim Kids joke they did for April Fools was foreshadowing.

I mean, it makes sense they’d change a block of their programming. All they were doing before was just showing Teen Titans Go or Gumball during that time, so since they don’t want to put in the time and effort to make good cartoons again, they’d clearly go for cheap and easy preschool stuff.
 
funny how cartoon network started out as ted turner's excuses to play Howard huges and air cartoons to watch 24/7 and now it's as far distant from that as can be.

(seriously look up huges buying out a lot of nevada affiliate television stations just so he could watch his favorite movies whenever he wanted)

Sure CN isn't technically becoming a preschool channel, but the new shows are skewing towards an audience so much younger than they have before that the rest of the channel won't be that much different from the preschool block bar Adult Swim.
