As others pointed out, the point itself is very salient and should be applied to all corporations, not just Disney. But the way he acts, while again being employed by the very people he despises, just comes across as a bitter housewife who’s taking her unhappy marriage out on everybody else. He could easily just leave but stays to mooch off his friend’s shows, making his point come off as a bit disingenuous.Don't go doomer just yet. Remember CN is doing another go at What A Cartoon so who knows. And of course indie animation by the likes of Newgrounds and Spindlehorse has what TV doesn't anyway. Enjoy those (if you want, I don't care).
Anyways, Alex Hirsch has been slowly burning his career bridge for a while but in celebration of Pride MonthTM, he pressed the fucking nuke button.

Calling out companies and brands for turning sexuality into a product/cult you must buy and sell or else? Okay. Being employed by the very people you have this gripe with thus signaling to other employers you can't keep your fucking issues under control while under contract? wow
Hirsch is dangerously close to being lolcow material.
Shit like this really makes me look at the 90s and 00s era with so much fondness; the lack of easily accessible social media really helped.
