Eh IDK I kinda liked the idea the banana splits movie was going for it's just yeah with FNAF still being a thing (somehow) nobody can just make a killer animatronics movie anymore without instantly drawing comparisons to that franchise (though of course Willy's wonderland was the better movie)
Anyways I'm aware he gender swapping is just that and none of these characters trooned out the way people irl do. It's just you can't even have a character be gender swaped without some idiot on Twitter going "see see trans representation matters because I say it does, kiss the ring on my girldick bigots."

Kingdom? No, it's more of the War for Cybertron stuff. This part of it is heavily connected to Beast Wars stuff though so if that's your jam you may enjoy it. You'd need to watch the preceding stuff but they are fairly short.
I will say I found it pretty bad though. No judgement if it does it for you but for me I've liked them less as they go.

Sad news today folks. The voice of Muriel from Courage the Cowardly Dog, Thea White, has passed away at the age of 81. Her last role will be reprising the character in the upcoming Scooby Doo/Courage crossover special.

Thankfully we got her for one last appearance as Muriel kind of reminds me of Adam West's last work before he died being Batman related.

And predictably, fans are hyping this up as the seventh “first gay (lesbian) couple in animation”, throwing She Ra, Korra, and Adventure Time under the bus. Some are trying to push it as “The first lead gay couple that hooked up before ending” and even then that’s arguable.
Hard to be progressive when everything resets to year zero.
And this being followed up is pure Greek bathos. May she RIP and god watch over Marty Grabstein.

I don't know every time a cartoon Mak's someone a lesbian. It is treated like it is the first when it's like the 7th or 8th cartoon to do it .

Yeah I don't get it either, but at the same time I understand how hard it is to get that sort of thing on TV at all so if some sperg on Twitter wants to celebrate I'll just leave them to it. If they start throwing things under the bus like Pyle mentioned? That's when I'll get pissy.

In all seriousness, it’s a mix of cope and getting what they want to begin with. As She Ra has shown, the right ship is enough to satisfy people irregardless of everything else. Bonus points for being validated by a major company.
I mean come on, we’ve had a numerous lesbian couples but this one is different because it’s from a different mega corp? Yeah enjoy your 15 minutes of fame while it lasts; call me when one of these creatives does something different like have a gay or bi male as the lead.
I feel like people over estimate how hard to get this stuff on TV at this point. Even ignoring the strides we’ve made as society, you start to notice how these people sperg about the same lesbian couple for the past decade. Lesbians which have been proven to be an easy mode for LGBT representation. If even Disney is now advertising rainbow people in their pictures, how brave and stunning is this really?

We're probably a long ways off from a gay protagonist in Western animation. Whether people want to admit it or not, lesbians are just an easier sell and homosexual men still have a major stigma against them.

I think it more because both women and men are fine watching two girls kiss over two guys kissing. I know this because my mom is fine watching two lesbain characters kiss in a movie. But two guys kissing in a movie, she finds that gross.

Courage The Cowardly Dog was the first introduction to what surrealism and “creepypasta” like humor can do to cartoons. Muriel and Eustace were like the Yin and Yang to Courage, and thus made the cartoon far more iconic for CN than they could have realized.
The unfortunate part is that current day Cartoon Network will never have anything close to that in modern times. Surrealism and humor has taken a step back, and it’s lost all nuance in the process.
