What are some of your "warning sign" bands? - When you hear someone says they like X band then it's time to ask for the check.

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
I'm currently anticipating the incoming post-Conde Nast Pitchfork journo shitting out a column about how BOTDF were "Le EmPoWeRiNg" visionary pioneers in spearheading hyperpop/zoomer culture; and how Dahvie Vanity hate is apparently "transphobe-coded" or some schlock.
Isn't Dahvie most well known for raping preteen girls, leading them to end up batshit insane pooners/"enbies" (i.e. Jessie Slaughter)?

People who all ironically think punk rock was this big left wing movement it wasn't
People who complain about Nazi imagery and heavy metal
These are the same people who think the late 70's disco backlash was due to "racism and homophobia" and not disco becoming a massive homogenized corporate thing that had oversaturated the market.

People who mocked DSBM thinking it was the worst thing after the campy era. Little did they know what beast would lurk just beyond the horizon. Fucking "post-shoegaze-black metal".

Black metal sissies on suicide watch, whilst us Death Metal chads invent genres like "Caveman-Workout-WomenHate-Metal". Get back into the woods with your mums makeup on, queers!

25 pages in and no mention of Weird AL fans???
Do Weird Al fans actually exist? All I know him for is making mid song parodies involving shit that has zero cultural relevance nowadays, and the Hardware Store.

As thread tax, anyone who when asked what his favorite bands are rattles at least two or three Argentine rock bands, or one band with some lame twink singing. Today I was reminded how utterly inane everything about it is, especially the vocalists.

I would be skeptical of any "heterosexual" woman who listens to a lot of Lady Gaga, has an obsession with drag culture, and says things like yasss queen.

I've noticed that so much of American female culture is now just gay/drag culture. Especially in the speaking style.

"So much this."

Another group of people I'd be skeptical of are those who say, "Oh I like/listen to everything...everything but country. Well sure, I like Johnny Cash. I just don't like country. Why yes I do enjoy music in languages I don't understand."

Hahhahahaah c,c...couldn't be me!

For real though, it used to be me, then I stopped being such a fag and found county I do like.

What's wrong with that?
By itself? Nothing.

It's one piece of a disturbing puzzle.

Taken all together, a person who claims to love everything, but hates country, likes Johnny Cash, but hates country, who likes Russian pop music, but hates country, and so on.

It's just a sign the person sticks to a lot of preconceived notions, and has had their ears closed to many possibilities for many years.

I know that Weird Al fans, even the diehard ones, are like Seinfeld fans, also even the diehard ones, in which they are casual admirers and don't mind anyone hating the product.

Also, citation needed on the "zero cultural relevance" on any of his songs, because Weird Al's songs (even the parodies) have also inspired a lot of newer generation of people, including the OneyPlays crew.

The zero cultural relevance is in the subject of his songs rather than them not being relevant as music. Beverly Hillbillies? Come on.
