What Are The Worst Character Designs You Have Ever Seen?

Metal Slug and Gunstar Heroes feature some of the most ghastly and just fucking lazy, unappealing art I've seen outside of woke shit.

I can't believe the top is official art but gotta keep in mind that Gunstar Heroes was early 90s and you had anime with odd proportions.

The Metal Slug character select is actually quite solid. Tarma and Fio look great. Weird as hell that Marco looks absolutely terrified when that doesn't match the personality of the character.

Metal Slug does have pretty detailed art but I don't think detail necessarily makes it good. The artist was technically proficient in his craft, but...what is it going for? It's unique but not cool.

It's a little generic but the box art actually looks way better. By the second game, the box art was dramatically better.

This abomination from Incredibles 2. What were they thinking?

Of course it is normal for you to think that this character is grotesque, This is supposed to be a woman but the woke bastards at Pixar who rendered her gave the entire body male proportions: Wide shoulders, narrow hips, large hands, flat chest, an elongated head and a prominent jaw. It is purposefully incongruous. This is yet another example of western media filled with propaganda that is trying to destroy the concept of there being a biological basis to sex and that the masculine and femininity exist as a binary.

The design is not the issue, it is the disconnect of a female outfit and voice being on a male body what is causing your brain to go haywire. Believe me, this stuff annoys me as well, to the point that I wanted to know if by editing the image I could give her body feminine proportions similar to ElastaGirl's and see if that fixed the issue. Honestly, I think it does:

That thin lipped creature still needs a nose job but that's an improvement.
I did subtly decrease the size of her nose in the edit, decided not to change much of her facial features (the shape of the head was more important) just to show that the shape of the body is what mainly defines the femininity of the character. Elastagirl has fairly thin lips but nobody takes notice because all eyes drift south when she's on screen.

Really makes me glad they buried this one when they made Hellsing Ultimate, which covered the manga correctly and just generally looked better all over (especially since that thing doesn't even exist outside of that show version).

This is Miyamoto Musashi from FGO in her summer form Berserker.

This is really good, one piece swimsuit that is high cut, lovely. pay attention to her feet, they are on the picture.

in her second form, an american cowboy samurai:

my favorite, looks really really great. she uses boots, and we can see part of it.

and her final form and the REAL PROBLEM

very bold one piece swimsuit that is really erotic, no problem at all, really like the tan too, in this image there isn't a single problem with it, but in the game, you most of the time only see a portrait of it. So no problem at all. But most of her feet are hidden.

now, in the gameplay, you see all her body in sprite form, now lets check it out the third form;

When it was released, I thought it was a bug, something clipping that fucked it up, BUT WHAT THE FUCK ARE THOSE BOOTS, WHAT ARE THOSE SLITS? IT ABSOLUTELY MAKES NO SENSE AND RUINS THE DESIGN

But then, lets look what the designer was intending into doing it:

Makes sense right? Sure it does, it makes complete sense, BUT the only part in which it doesn't it is the gameplay sprite, the single part where you see the most and is impossible to not notice because of the angle. I still love the design but can't use it since it grinds my gears and thankfully there is another alternative that I like more.

regardless, Musashi is really cute, but a single piece can break a great design when it doesn't look good.

I'm wondering how those would fit on one's feet when there's no space for toes. Otherwise the art is lovely.

Too much dinosaur, not enough Godzilla elements. The head is to square and flat, it’s too thin, and the hunched look makes Zilla almost unrecognizable as Godzilla. This looks more like the Knock-off Mockbuster you’d find at the Wal-Mart $5 bin.

The work they had in 1994 for an Americanized Zilla struck a much better balance between modern dinosaur elements and Godzilla’s general aesthetic. It shifts the weight and proportions around a bit to erase the ‘Guy in a Suit’ look inherent to Big G’s design. He looks more like a dinosaur, but still distinctly Godzilla.

Hell, it even looks better than Legendary‘s Monsterverse Godzilla.
