Which is ironic considering John K.'s voice of Ren Hoek was based on Peter Lorre, and that Spumco era of Ren & Stimpy had Vincent Waller as one of the people who worked on it, as well as in the infamous APC. And Waller, of course, is a showrunner for SpongeBob as of 2012.

Is this a coincidence? I'll leave it up to you. I rest my case.

So it's that time I talk about Winx Club again. The fairy forms were actually pretty okay up until season 3 but after that, shit went bad pretty quickly.

For reference season 1-2.

Pretty glittery but they weren't overdesigned and busy to the eyes.

Season 3 gave us these messes but I could excuse them because they make sense in canon.

This was supposed to be a fairy's ultimate form in the show so naturally they were a little out there.

But they kinda kept this hyper designed, super bright color shit going continually until it began to hurt my fucking eyes.

And it came to a head with whatever the fuck this is. It's oversaturated, it's ugly and it's needlessly busy on the eyes.

This is from season 7 but some of the other fairy forms since season 4 have been really ugly, especially for some of the girls.

Season 5 gave us this and holy fuck is it ugly. What is up with those watermelon stockings?

Same character got this in season 6. I don't what about it that bugs me but it bugs me.

The bottom half is fine but the top is so tonal and overdesigned.

Since the show refuses to just fucking end, I'm scared of what other overly glittery, over-tonal. overdesigned shit we'll get for season 9.

To be fair, Enchantix looks much better in the original art style. Still busy but better. The flowers theme is clearly present and work pretty well with the ultimate fairy thing.

I personally have always found Sirenix hideous. Bright colored tights that are also shoes, mini tutu, striped hair, one arm string and sparkly wierdly shaped wings. I get that they tried do like a tropical fish but it doesn't work. Musa looks almost okey but everyone else are pretty bad.

Indeed. The original art style is just better in general. I fucking hate the new style.

Lore-wise, I can't figure out how Enchantix fucking fits into it because they keep giving the girls new "better" forms. Sirenix for example is the "oldest power in the magic dimension" which, idk would make it the ultimate super special fairy form?

Agreed. it's just an overall ugly transformation and poor Tecna got fucking shafted with the worst of them all. Fucking watermelon tights.

I really don't like the transformations from World of Winx either but that might be because I just don't like the style for World of Winx at all. And in general, I don't like World of Winx. It's thankfully a spinoff.

Dreamix is the least uggo of the two.

The cloud people are atrocious. They look like fat cotton balls. Super lazy design for air, which should be more flowy and free. Instead you get these lumps. The earth kid is cute. Probably the best design because at least they put some thought into it. He has the most details and is not just some elementally themed blob or splatter.

Also, are those two guys in the bathtub gay? Even if that's not the intention there's no way no one noticed what it looks like.
