I saw there was Clone High discussion a few pages back, but I only saw the trailer for the new season today and I am fucking appalled.
All the new characters look hideous and completely out of place. I genuinely thought it was some Deviantart retard slapping their ugly ass OC next to Abe, Cleo, and JFK. Tubman, Confucious, and the Mexican chick with the eyebrow stick out like sore fucking thumbs. They almost look like corporate artstyle parodies than actual characters.
The way its shaping up to be, Clone High fans must’ve wished for a new season with a goddamn monkey paw.

So Total Drama is getting a reboot, something I am pretty sure is a well-known fact currently. Anyway, the designs are....well they are Total Drama..
However one that bugs me is this bitch.
I guess the reason why it looks so weird to me is because it kinda makes me think of those white girls on Tiktok doing extreme tanning and pretending to be niggers. I guess it's the blonde dreads.

I'm really hating some of these character designs in the newer Spongebob episodes and it's spin-off, they just look really ugly and unappealing to me....

Blitzwing actually looks better than Starscream in my opinion. He took a lot of themes from the pulp villain archetype, so giving him the outfit works well. Lugnut just looks like a generic thug though.I think Starscream and Blackarachnia look okay but the others are just

The first "fish" looks disturbing. Yuck. Doesn't even look like a fish. I guess I should applaud them for making a fish with nares but there had to be better, less creepy ways of designing that.

God, I remember reading a comment taking issue with the second pic there of the "narwal" girl. Where if this was old spongebob, one where Hillenburg were still alive and at the helm, they'd make a very interesting character design while retaining that yes, she is in fact a narwal and you can recognize her as such. Here in the second pic she's just some pink bipedal creature with green hair with a horn attached to her nose. What am I supposed to make of this?
They've gotten much worse once Waller became a showrunner, being way too much like Ren & Stimpy, despite that it was originally its own thing (albeit the earlier episodes have a more Rocko feel as it was originally created by that show's writer and animation director who pitched SpongeBob for the network after Rocko had ended).

That character is supposed to be inspired by Peter Lorre, specifically his Looney Tunes design

Not all nu-Pokemon are complete shit. Gholdengo for instance is a great Generation 8 Pokemon. Though, I am an alchemist by trade, so I could be biased towards a Pokemon made out of literal gold coins.
