What Are The Worst Character Designs You Have Ever Seen?

.
In the cartoon, it kinda works, as Bagheera and Balu are sort of weird aunt and uncle. Our cartoon is really well-done.
Yes, a few episodes were translated to English, and they were excellent.
In the original story, the only female characters of note were Mowgli's two adoptive mothers, Raksha the Mother-Wolf and an Indian villager who might be his birth mother. Adding a not-mother works.

Tranny dolls? Is that right?

OMG the sameface. Because what's the difference between white, ambiguously olive and black? Amirite?🤪

They do indeed look like trannies. I'm assuming this is bleedthrough of the "this is what real women look like" trend that is insulting to real women because every "realistically female" character design seems to come complete with manjaw and/or potato face. It implies the average woman is ugly and likes being portrayed as such.

This is the new Jean Gray in Insomniac's Wolverine

Like, even if it's some concept art it's still atrocious. What can I even say about this design? There are planks of wood with more curves than that. The red hair is gone in favour of brown because they didn't want to risk the backlash from turning her into a nigress. And the face looks like a superimposed tranny face into the model.

Honestly? It's just fucking boring. That's the biggest sin in addition what you said.

I’ve seen some ugly looking robots but my God look at this abomination, I think I’ve found the true inspiration for Trollface People.

This scary abomination is Cabby from Pinocchio 3000, some obscure animated film from 2004 that surprisingly goes overlooked in terms of Pinnochio adaptations. Thé film is pretty well animated for the time but some of the designs are just god awful, The colour scheming for this character is god awful with the weird suit and garish Blue and white face. The creepy grin and wide googly eyes try to appear cute and funny but come across as scary as hell. This is easily the ugliest robot I’ve seen in any kids film.

This design would work well as a villain.

I'll say this, the designs do look a lot like the stuff off of the Oddworld games

The Mask... But straight out of Chernobyl.

Tooru. If the hair isn't bad enough, the teddy bears stapled to his shoulders are.

Oh that's supposed to be hair?

Jesus fuck I thought it was a hat. I know Jojos designs have always been ass but what the fuck?

Then maybe it's something like this?

I'm thinking of Sagitar from the other old He-Man cartoon.

Sagitar.jpg

Him and his wifey come from a species of not centaurs that can switch between double human and centaur form. I've always thought it looked weird.

Speaking of He-man, and this isn't even the worst design ever but I am so sick of shaved sides for women. It's like if a woman is a tough no nonsense person, she gotta shave half of her head. I fucking hate it.

For a time they did Teela dirty.

It ends with "a", which is commonly used for feminine names. An American who never encountered the name "Misha" before and given no other clues might assume it's a girl's name.
This stuff happens once in a while. Supposedly, Russian has no elegant way to say "male panther" so Jungle Book's Bagheera got a sex change in the first Russian translation.
What? Are Americans not familiar with boys names that end with A? Like Dana, Ezra, Joshua (cheating but you get the idea) Luca, Ilya, Isaiah, fucking Obama?

I think what I'm trying to say is that people probably look more at appearance than name, considering how women these days are named Ryan and Terry for example.

Good god, she looks so boring. If you didn't tell me it was supposed to be Jean Grey, I'd assume it was some random OC or obscure Marvel character.

Why are her powers purple? Wasn't that Psylocke's thing?

And why does she look like a middle schoolers mom?

I think the final goal is to make bald headed Sheboons a thing. But it is both ugly and doesn't makes any practical sense, if a woman needs to fight in close proximity she'd just have short hair.

Or she could tie it up. Or hell, go by anime logic and have it long and loose and totally impractical just so we can have some cool character designs.

Like this but minus the sides.
