The biggest problem is that it looks like generic tumblr art.
The other issue is that main character girl's got pink hair, and no one is really complaining about it, or how most anime protags have oddly colored hair to begin with. They always seem to focus on the one with that one dyke cut that seems to be incredibly popular.Am I the only one that doesn’t have a problem with this? It’s going to have the same standards for anime that every other American “anime” has. Fucking none. It’s Crunchyroll trying to bring in new audiences and to the extent, new revenue (and despite how much the MovieBob thread will say otherwise, that is not a bad thing). Though the attention-seeking-haircut character does look pretty bad, and that’s because I hate dyed-hair-color designs anyway.
Are they all animals? If so, I'm a little worried as to why the ones in the back aren't wearing any clothes. Are clothes only for the children?
personally i'm not bothered by brightly colored hair. i find normal hair colors extremely boring. shame danger hairs had to ruin it for everyone. The other issue is that main character girl's got pink hair, and no one is really complaining about it, or how most anime protags have oddly colored hair to begin with. The eyes remind me of Omocat's Zelda art except you know not cute or charming.
Would have been great if the hats started off normal, then grew to that size over the course of the episode, like in Scary Movie 3Zoids Wild keeps dancing on the bleed edge of worst designs and best designs.

There are plenty of decent designs to be found in FF games, but when they're bad, they are baaaaaaaaaad.Final Fantasy the thread.
Personally, I don’t see Cal-Arts. I see more of a low-budget 80s anime. Especially in the Pink-Haired one.
Kind of like the Steven Universe pilot (which was superior to the show we got in every conceivable way).
And this is what killed any interest I'll ever have in this.![]()
Ah, fuck this.
If anyone wants to see just how bad it looks in action, here's the full pilot. There's been a leak of images from a supposedly real Flintstones spin-off called "Yabba Dabba Dinosaurs" and well surely it-

all right, it looks a little off and wonky but

right still not as bad as some recent examples of modern cartooning for either the kids or the adults that we've seen and

The animation looks so 2000s Newsground. Bleugh. Why do Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm look like they don't belong in the same universe as their parents?
True. Interesting to see the parents are their 90's Craig Kellman designs here (and Barney gets that voice like they did in "On The Rocks"), but that's as far as I noticed. Just looks pretty basic and bland. If anyone wants to see just how bad it looks in action, here's the full pilot.
