The other issue is that main character girl's got pink hair, and no one is really complaining about it, or how most anime protags have oddly colored hair to begin with. They always seem to focus on the one with that one dyke cut that seems to be incredibly popular.

personally i'm not bothered by brightly colored hair. i find normal hair colors extremely boring. shame danger hairs had to ruin it for everyone.

Came across this, awhile back - one upon a time a couple of British fellows worked on a "manga" that was featured in Kodansha's Comics Afternoon publication, about a character named Dominator who fought monsters with his guitar and enjoyed some success but it fell into obscurity because there was no follow-up. Eventually, the creators attempted to make a CGI film based on the character but due to several setbacks and having to go on hiatus due to one of the co-creator's health problems, they were forced to salvage their old CG footage in order to complete the project. It was really the product of several guys working on Macs. The resulting product, "Dominator" was released in 2003 in theaters and on the European Sci-Fi channel - with the production company tagging it as "the new wave of Brit-Manga Animation". Featuring the voices of that guy from Cradle of Filth as "Dominator" aka "The Dead God of Rock and Roll" and Doug Bradley.


Note: this movie features a sex scene.

There are plenty of decent designs to be found in FF games, but when they're bad, they are baaaaaaaaaad.

Playing IX right now and for every Vivi or Beatrix that knocks it outta the park there's shit like this.

It's uncanny valley at best and nightmare fuel at worst. But you still don't think it's one of the WORST evers? Well you're right, it's not really that awful. But it serves to bring awareness of the real deal.

The animation looks so 2000s Newsground. Bleugh. Why do Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm look like they don't belong in the same universe as their parents?

True. Interesting to see the parents are their 90's Craig Kellman designs here (and Barney gets that voice like they did in "On The Rocks"), but that's as far as I noticed. Just looks pretty basic and bland.
