What are you playing right now?

The frustratingly difficult Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, aka the game where you can easily lead yourself into an unwinnable situation, because you keep dying to Uruk captains which become increasingly invulnerable after killing you. In order to not keep dying to Uruk captains, you must earn "power" points, which are earned by... killing Uruk captains. Which are unkillable because you keep dying to them.
:stress:

Otherwise, it's a very good game.

Been playing Dishonored on PC lately. As much as how I already beaten it on low chaos on the PS3, I'm still going for a mostly pacifist route since I'm more for happy endings than being a violent psycho.

Getting back into GTA5 (especially the online multiplayer portion) on PS4. I missed so much content last time I was on.

Just started The Last Gaurdian.

Left a very good first impression on me. Although I'm a little annoyed that you can't remap the controls like you could in the previous Team ICO games. It's so strange jumping with the triangle button.

currently i am playing two games at the moment Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom and Fire Emblem Fates Conquest(yes i still trying to finish it). I start off with Majin since its more fresh in my mind. The plot is simple you play as thief(who can speak to animals) with the help of newly freed partner The Majin he must defeat the Soldiers of Darkness to save the land. the story feels like as after thought. Most of the plot either comes from info dumps from birds or the 1 minutes cut scenes before majors areas and boss fights. The gameplay feels a bit like zelda, like instead of getting items to solve puzzles you get new powers for majin. none of the puzzles really all that challenging, if you pay attention you can finish most of them pretty quickly. The combat exists and can either go on too long with you chipping away the enemies' heath or use the Majin's powers and end them fast. Boss fights are barely any better. they simply use the new Majin power you got to kick there ass in phase one and then tire them put before finishing them off. The Majin's AI is pretty solid and i have yet to have a problem with him. My biggest beef with the game is that trying a be zelda, but has a metroid map. it just feels like a ps2/gamecube era game.
Now Fates i finally swallowed my pride and turned down the difficult. I am no Fire Emblem expect and this game just handed me my ass alot. I am going though chapter at a more reasonable rate. but hey i was able to beat 20 chapters on hard so i ain't a complete fool. I enjoy fates and i plan on getting birthright and Revelations when i can.

I can't play Watch Dogs 2 due to not having a current gen console (or anything approaching a decent gaming PC) but I dusted off its open world San Francisco progenitor from Ubisoft Reflections, Driver: San Francisco, which I own on the XBox 360 and which I finished the main story mode and the majority of side missions five years ago and haven't really played since.

I forgot just how damn smooth the game runs. Somehow I had in my head that Driver: San Francisco had a similar frame rate to a Grand Theft Auto game, but, nope, it's a 60FPS game, and the city scenery still looks pretty damn nice, although, yeah, obviously not quite up to the standards of Watch Dogs 2 especially on a proper gaming PC, what with Watch Dogs 2 having to model the interiors of many buildings whereas you never really leave a car in Driver: SF (not counting when Tanner is floating around in SHIFT mode in order to possess the bodies of other drivers).

Continuing with LotR binge - Third Age: Total War, the mod for Medieval 2 Total War.

There's no better way for Lothlorien elves to defend Middle-earth from evil than burning down the Ents!
Also, remove goblin you are worst uruk you are the uruk idiot you are the uruk smell, Eregion rightful elfish clay

Oh man, when my friend first showed me the whole boss system in Shadow of Mordor my mind was blown away. I'd love to see something similar in a fighting game. Killer Instinct's Shadow Lords Mode is also pretty cool, although not quite at the same level: you move around a the lobe in a turn based interface and have to defeat as much heralds as you can to collect artifacts and to remove as much crazy buffs from the final boss as possible before the final conftrontation.

Like the filthy rom using peasant that I am, I'm playing a couple S/NES games that always seemed cool but never got the chance to try them: Little Samson, Metal Storm, Sky Blazer, Hagane, and Demon's Crest. Gotta say, they're all pretty fun!

I didn't think it was that hard, but I've played the everloving shit out of all the Arkham games, so the combat mechanics are hardwired into my brain.

Wish I could devote more serious time with my games since I love using my Kettlebell while video gaming, but mainly with Grand Theft Auto V.
How does that work? Do you pause the game for some Kettlebell reps?

You don't even need to pause. I love leaving the game running while doing real life chores or something. Using the Kettlebell just before starting a rampage, breaking into the military base.

fun game if you can run it! shame you have to almost always play on x3 + exp and gather because the actual experience feels really unrewarding in the early levels

I talked about Driver: San Francisco a few posts ago but, speaking of open world city driving games, I may finally start playing L.A. Rush on Playstation 2 again since I watched a Youtube video where I finally learned of a cheat code to get more money.

I slightly prefer the map of Los Angeles in L.A. Rush to that in Midnight Club: Los Angeles (which I have on XBox 360), and the level of detail in the scenery is great for PS2 (better than the original Los Santos in GTA: San Andreas), but I stopped playing L.A. Rush out of sheer frustration because it's a game where you have to pony up big money for more than a handful of entry-level races and, if you lose the race, your entry money is gone and you gotta race the same few entry-level races a whole buncha times just to be able to re-race the higher level race you lost at before.

I'm sure that cheat code has been on the Internet for years and years, I guess I was just too frustrated with the game to bother looking it up.

Finished up a third run on the PC version of Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen. At this point, I just feel like wanting to put the game down and wait maybe a few months before going back in.

Tried to play the bog-standard version of Dragon's dogma but after comparing it to the Witcher 3 (or the Witcher 2 for that matter) it just felt generic.

Had the same thing with this except I basically gave up. In a strange way Lord of the Rings:War in the North was a precursor as it had staff that eventually made SOM.

Also playing Ni No Kuni at the moment, the gameplay mechanics have their issues but this game aesthetically is cozy as fuck.

Playing Rune Factory 4 for the first time in like, a year. I beat the first story arc while still in Spring, which is a personal record for me.

Lost Odyssey- it's free on the Xbox One right now, so I had no reason to not try it.

I really am enjoying the combat, but I'm finding the bosses to be wayyyyy too difficult. But that's okay- it just means I have to try new tactics and try to find new armor.

Been revisiting Dead State: Reanimated. Also played a bit of Dead Island: Riptide. Getting close to finishing the latter with 85% so far.

I just started a new Master difficulty run in Far Cry 3 and I'm wondering if I should go for my self imposed challenge of using only machete, 1911, and recurve bow, or just play the game straight up locked on that difficulty.
