What are you playing right now?

Currently playing the first Sly Cooper game(from the trilogy collection) I am a bit surprised I ignored these three back when they were new.

Not much of a fighting game player, but I am a massive fan of old chop socky films and it nails the style to a T. I can't comment much on the nitty gritty of it as a fighting game regarding balance, precision of hit boxes, balanced characters, ect,..but I can point out one detail the game does that I never see in the big name fighters; when defending, your character doesn't just hold position, they actively sway, block, sidestep, ect, making for a much more dynamic seeming fight and a lot of fun to just watch.

Currently playing through the entire Mass Effect series, carrying my character over each time. So far I've been loving it. I'm amazed at how much of the first game I remember from first playing versus how little I remember of the second and especially third game. They're not bad, they just left very little impact on me for some reason.
I'm currently up to the Priority: Citadel II mission of ME3, and I've just realised I fucked up 5 hours of gameplay ago.

Thanks to me completely neglecting to visit the Citadel hospital before curing the genophage, there's no way for me to convince Ashley that Udina is a traitor. So she has to die. Either I shoot her, or a squad mate shoots her and she dies cursing me to hell. There is nothing I can do at this point to change this outcome and I don't have a save to go back to a point before I crossed the event horizon. My options are: continue the game with dead Ash (fuck that) or, restart the game and do it right this time. That's about 20 hours of gameplay down the drain. I really feel like I've ruined the game for myself now. I don't want to continue but I don't want to replay everything again...

Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes

I forgot how annoying it was that Snake repeated everything the character he was talking to just said with confusion.

DARPA chief: You need a key card to open that door.

Snake: A key card?

Skyrim unmodded because I wanted to get the achievements since I finished Fable Anniversary.

I've been playing a bunch of Age of Empires: Definitive Edition. Aesthetically its great and I like some of the new changes like making farms like AoE 2, but I really hate that they got rid of the videos at the start and end of a campaign.

Baby me thought this was the height of CGI.

Just finished Vice City the definitive edition to 100% on PS now and honestly it was pretty good. I don’t know if they put out some patches or I just got lucky but I encountered little to no issues. Only issue I had was some of the rampage side-missions refused to spawn enemies and I had to restart the application. Other issue is that yes the radio stations did feel quite barren at times and it’s obvious to me which songs are missing.

However I think the more colorful and cartoonish art direction that all the definitive editions have really works the best with Vice City. Honestly I was kind of taken back by how good the game looks just driving around in the evening. The updated controls and auto-save function was also really helpful as well. I really wish they would’ve just sold each game individually because I’ll be honest I really don’t have the same attachment to GTA3 or even San Andreas.

Since the show came out and the dlc is apparently coming out soon, I decided to buy Cuphead on the PS4 and revisit the game.

First time I played it was with my brother on his XBOX One back when it first came out, and while we had fun, I recalled it being incredibly frustrating to get through, particularly towards the end of the game. Doesn't help that co-op mode tends to get very chaotic very quickly making it hard to keep track of our characters.

Playing it by myself, it's actually kinda surprising how well paced the bosses feel. It doesn't really take all that long to get back to the part of a fight you died on and I've grown to appreciate the animations and little details the game's characters and backgrounds have. It was also nice coming back and seeing that the previously still cutscenes are now animated. The game truly does excel at that surreal and fluid 1930's aesthetic.

Not looking forward to fighting King Dice again though. That fight in particular was a bitch.

Isn't that 10 hours? That happens during the halfway point.

Maybe it was... Honestly, I lost track of how much time I'd put into it by that point. It felt like the whole day's worth of play, but probably more now that I think about it. Either way, I've restarted the game and dropped the difficulty down to Games Journo mode so I can breeze through to where I left off.

Finished Cuphead.

I definitely appreciate this game much more than I did when it first came out. Especially after learning about how the development of the game went down. It truly is a game made with passion and love.

Here's hoping The Delicious Last Course turns out to be good.

Cyberpunk 2077.

Did a side-job for Panam, a fixer and was in the process of putting down a cyberpsycho. His sniper's perch was rigged with explosives, that I failed to notice and I died. That's when I found out the game bugged out and stopped auto-saving sometime before I did Panam's side-job, which I did 2 hours ago.

I'm watching Metokur do the speed dating while enjoying farming in Stardew Valley.

With how much snow we have, it's so god damn cozy.

I'm playing Far Cry 5 and I'm really enjoying it so far since its been quite a while since I've played a Ubisoft open world game. I'm about 3/4 of the way through liberating Faith's area of the map and I haven't seen the other parts yet. I've considered making a section of my Animal Crossing New Horizons island inspired by it since the white lilies kinda look like the hallucinogenic "bliss" plants in the game:

I've also gotten back into Minecraft and am gathering materials to build a bigger base since I'm starting to outgrow my starter base.

resident evil 1 remake.
i really like the graphics, but i feel like this type of resident evil is not for me anymore. i somehow could play RE2 on N64 for hours, do Leon A Claire B and then other way around and NEVER get tired. rn i'm struggling to play re1make.

probably because the map has extra rooms to deal with and i should've pick easy difficulty. playing jill and i'll play chris later.
