What are you playing right now?

More Dark Souls 2.

I've been flying through Dark Souls 2 myself and it's been more enjoyable now that I know how to avoid the pitfalls that plagued me on my first run (not knowing to invest in adaptability, not being aware that you can drain the poison from the Mytha Boss room, not knowing about Soul Memory and wasting souls, etc.) but on the other hand there's a little less joy of discovery so it's still fun, but I think I'll focus more on multiplayer with this character.

Lambda Wars. It's a free (!) Half Life 2-themed RTS on the (!) Source engine.

It currently has two factions who gather resources differently and have different units: the Resistance and the Combine. My only complaint is that there are no hero units, so you can't lead the Rebels into the battle controlling Gordon/Alyx/Barney- but I guess finding an individual, threatening commander for the Combine would require making a character from whole cloth.

Twilight Princess HD came out yesterday, and i admit I will never be too old or mature to not find naming Link "nigga" funny.
Bonus points for Twilight Princess for letting you name your horse too.

Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc. I'm not normally one for visual novels (they seem to be too much of that uguuu~ kawaii waifu crap going by trailers and reviews and if I want to read a book, I'll actually read something), but this one's got an interesting story with some nice twists.
Funnily enough, I just ordered the second game off of Amazon a few moments ago. So, I guess I'll be playing that sooner or later...

But for now, I'm playing the Devil May Cry games because they're cool I guess.

Remember Me, a cyberpunk action game by DONTNOD Entertainment, the same studio who released Life is Strange later on.

It has pretty nice graphics, really inspiring design work (the levels, the NPCs, the machinery and other things look absolutely gorgeous), and quite interesting setting (futuristic Paris built directly on the ruins of the old city, which was destroyed during the bloody breakup of the EU). But good GOD, the game mechanics are really fucking annoying, especially the awkward fighting system, the unwieldy camera and... the controls in general. Another thing that I really hate are the unskippable cutscenes - you have to sit through 10-15 minutes of stupid dialogues you've already seen before if you want to play a chapter again. And if you have to load from the last checkpoint at the beginning of the level, the game plays the cutscenes once again.

Most of the way through Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut. The redone boss fights are tolerable (even though they basically all have come down to: find new area added to map, hack turrets/robots, lure boss into turrets/robots), but I understand a complete rework allowing you to do them without killing them was out of the question.

The only thing I don't like is that the Missing Link DLC is now incorporated into the story where it takes place (between the Hengsha Port and Omega Ranch). It's fairly bland, repetitive, with way too much backtracking, cringey voice acting, and it funnels you into one or two paths to the target compared to the main game and it's near open environments. Huge downer right near the end of a fairly well-paced game.

Empire at War, specifically Forces of Corruption's Galactic Conquest mode. After you get the Death Star II, kiss any real opposition goodbye. You can just go around pulverizing planets in a space battle, set up Space Stations to hold them, and move on to the next enemy position.

Remember to bring Interdictors, though. Slippery scum.

-Acclamators make good stop-gap ships, they're relatively cheap and still provide the fighter screens you need to deal with bombers. Victories seem to be Acclamators +1, more durable, more guns and thus more suited to early front-line space battles.

-Broadsides can be parked out of range of their target, and made to fire missiles en masse. This typically destroys anything short of high-tier ships.

-The Imperial-class Star Destroyer is powerful, but it moves like a one-legged turtle smoking hashish.

-The Executor is the slowest of the lot, but boy does it pack a punch! Good luck getting it to the fight, though. I usually park it at the back with the Interdictors, and spam the ability that spawns fighters.

SEGA weekend sale on Steam. Bought Valkyria Chronicles.

So far, it's challenging, but an absolute delight to play. The characters are distinct and make me care about them with very little effort. I recommend getting it, it's like £3 on Steam.

Valkyria Chronicles is one of my most favorite games. That game pretty much took over my gaming life during my Junior Year in High School.

OT: I've just played through Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee again. Still a great game. And right now, I'm playing Skullgirls: 2nd Encore. I'm honestly not that great at the game, so I'm a little surprised to see all the rage quits I've been getting from people:

I've been playing Twilight Princess HD. It's not as much of a graphical upgrade as the other Zelda "HD" games, but considering it was marketed as the "first HD widescreen zelda" game back on the Wii version there's not really much they could do for it besides removing the fogginess and improving the lighting.

I was hesitant to replay after remembering how overhyped the "edge" of the original was, but now replaying it a decade later, the game is pretty fun! The whole "darkest Zelda game" shtick starts to fall apart one you get to the first mini boss, and then there's the Gorons, and eventually you get farther in the game and there's literal clowns who shoot you into the desert out of a cannon. My favorite part so far was the dungeon that was literally just some yeti's house where you help his wife get over a cold by helping him make soup, and then beat the demons out of her when she suddenly goes full exorcist and encases herself in a deadly Russian nesting doll of murder death. You can also snowboard with the yetis.

10/10 would recommend over map flipped Wii version from ten years ago. Happy tenth anniversary weird dog link and tiny midget with a fist for hair. May your game's writing stay unchanged and your conception highly dubious and confusing for years to come.

Battlefleet Gothic Armada. Truth be told even if it wasn't Warhammer I'd be playing this, as there is a sore lack of ANY fleet combat RTSs period, so even if it was naval ships I'd still be loving this.

A visual novel with birds. As you play you unlock the backstories of characters and discover why the bloody hell there's talking pigeons that attend a school.

I recently acquired a copy of Star Wars Battelfront 2 on PC, and have been having a blast with it. I downloaded the new Galactic Civil War II mod, which adds the Resistance and First Order factions to the game, and have been playing that a whole heap.

When I finally get around to it, I'll be finishing off Enchanted Arms. I started it a long time ago, and never saw it through. It's not great, but it appeals to my completionist issues. (True story: I once broke Arcana on the SNES by trying to max all of my party's stats. I got Rooks and Darwin to cap, but when I started working on Teefa, it just couldn't handle the truth numbers, I guess.)

I played some Pokemon, since I'm finally not burned out. I also played some Star Wars Battlefront 2, and that game aged pretty good. It's so much fun.

Got Warframe. I go to planets, look shit, and shoot at everyone.

I have no idea what's going on, what I'm doing, and what I'm supposed to be trying to do. And it's great.
I just started last night myself.
Also I'm playin XCOM: Enemy Within.

Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts. Playing as the Nazis and crushing the allies beneath my mighty jack heeled boot is making me hard as fuck.
