What are you playing right now?

Risk of Buggy release 2.

Gearbox and bad development decisions have fucked over yet another promising game series, rejoice. Not only have Hotpoo failed to fix the ridiculous scaling issues with stage 5 of RoR2, they also made the daftest design decision I think I've ever seen; they buffed the way bleed works to a point where actually viable for the entire game, from the beginning to the end, and then they implemented a final boss that ACTIVELY DISCOURAGES players from making bleed builds because the boss STEALS YOUR ITEMS AND USES THEM TO APPLY ALL OF YOUR ON HIT EFFECTS, INCLUDING THE BUFFED BLEED.

At least they introduced a scrapper so now you don't have to run using a command artifact if you actually want to make it past stage 5 on Monsoon, but then the rest of the update is just this really shoddy 'one step forward, two steps back' situation. the 5 minute walk leading up to the final boss feels like it was pulled from an E.Y.E; Divine Cybermancy level; it's just a pointlessly long stretch of road with nothing in it except for a few basic enemies and all of the item rooms grouped together at the end of the level next to the boss fight, Nothing like the final level of the first game, which was arguably one of the most intricate and fun levels that it had to offer.

TL;DR RoR2's 1.0 update is a gigantic disappointment

Fall Guys. It's actually kind of fun and charming. Minus the luck based and team maps those are cancer.
they're not cancer when your team is raping the hell out of the other/others. then it's funny as fuck

Yeah well I always end up on the pee team and they end up screwing me over even though I flattened everyone's asses during a race or survival game.

I've finished the main story of AC Odyssey (the story just stopped, I wasn't ready, I thought it would be longer), I guess I have to do the Gates of Atlantis story now.
By the way, the free promotional AC Valhalla set of armor and weapon is quite OP and that's a good thing.

...and the cheaters.

Oh yeah and I completely forgot memory match that's a mindless endeavor right there. If you somehow don't beat that minigame you're either subhuman or you got screwed over by constant pushing and shoving.

I've been giving my ever loyal GameCube a bit of exercise over the last few days. I got it out to play some F-Zero and Minority Report (shit's toight) but then ended up starting a Skies of Arcadia: Legends play through. God I hope we get a remaster/sequel to that.

During Steam's summer sale I bought Sim City 4 for $6. I really like city builder/simulation games, and I dabbled in it as a kid. I've sunk an autistic amount of time into it. Now that I am older I have a better understanding of the mechanics so I'm having a lot more fun. Also the mods for the game fix a lot of bugs, add efficient buildings and provide aesthetics which really improves the experience.

Pokemon Sweet 2th, a candy themed rom hack that's a sequel to that other candy themed ROM hack. I keep forgetting to grind before I progress, like a dumbass, so I keep getting my ass handed to me. Might put Candform in the PC to catch something different.

I modded my Playstation Classic a while back and filled mine with some old RPG's that I somehow missed out on.

Been playing thru Lunar The Silver Star Story to see what all the hype is about. So far it's been an ok game but it has some really outdated RPG tropes like grinding for XP and random anime cutscenes that are barely 30 seconds long and some of the cringiest voice acting ever.

Other than that I'm still building my gaming PC so I can finally start playing FFXIV.

I'm playing The Outer Worlds for the first time. I'm a sucker for the kind of aesthetic the game has, and I like it so far.

Decided to go through my seemingly-infinite Steam/GOG backlog.

Finally played Superhot, campaign was too easy for me (finished in under an hour IIRC) but the challenge modes made it worthwhile. Now I'm bored of action games and going to try out Kindergarten.

Replaying the Assassins Creed games in release order. Probably going to stop at Black Flag since that's the last one I really enjoyed (Haven't played Origins or Odyssey, they any good?) I'm in the middle of 3 and I'm appreciating it a bit more than when it first came out, seems like they tried to experiment with the franchise and figure out where to take it next. Although having Connor be present at almost every big moment in America's birth gets a little ridiculous at points.

Thats a good one as was Kindergarten 2. There's some hilarius hidden endings.
