It would be better to post the actual level than just using the soundtrack they were used for.

My favs:

*Favorite level is at 0:56

pure boss fight. As hard as it was, there was a joy in beating what was essentially a NEXT while piloting a NORMAL.

*This is only a partial bit of my favorite are in Wizardry 8, the penultimate level before the Cosmic circle. Posting part of it to give an idea of how the level was. Go to three shrines while fighting various bosses in the way.

Another level from a From Software game. What I loved most about it was that it's relatively simple compared to all other missions, it gives you a shot at literally being an evil prick (kill 100 million people. This kind a makes ORCA look like hypocrites since their method is no better than what I do since they want to bring down the cradles via diverting their power source which means falling down into irradiated land. Kinda wonder if what I did is more of a mercy kill than breathing in irradiated air), and (from my own experience) it makes playing as a complete light-weight with Sobrero parts, blades, and optionally any boosters complete fun. Best part is actually beating it without taking damage which can be downright impossible all other times.

All the levels in Paper Marios 64 and The Thousand Year Door bring warmth to my heart. If I had to tell you a favorite just from those games alone, I'd likely give you a different answer every day.

The one that comes to mind right now is the third chapter of The Thousand Year Door: Of Glitz and Glory. It starts off with Mario picking up a pro-wrestling career, brings a newly-hatched Yoshi to your party after you care for him as an egg, climaxes with some fantastic fights, and the ending to this day touches my heartstrings.

Still, great as this is, it's not my favorite video game level. That honor would have to go to Red Dead Redemption's "And the Truth Will Set You Free" mission. I played the Deluxe Edition of the game on hardcore mode rather than the buggy original, so I'm quite biased. But it's the best climax I've come across while remaining fully clothed.

Red Dead, for me, hit every one of Rockstar's highs without any of their traditional weak points. If I ever get to play another game even half that good, I'll be happy.

80% of the dungeons from Ocarina of Time ~ Wind Waker.

Fire Temple from OOT is my favorite because of the muslim chants, and the fact that all the gorons are in a process of imprisonment and genocide.

The amount of artistry and technical precision in all of the Rayman music levels just blows my mind. My favorite is the Black Betty level, because the slower pace lets you really appreciate how brilliant it is.

Maximillian was by far my favorite protagonist in Eternal Darkness, and his stage was among the creepiest too.

Well there's Rupture Farms from Oddworld Abe's Oddysee.

Maze of Memories from Klonoa 2:

Just to name a couple.

All of Valiant Hearts' levels have a great atmosphere, but I particularly like the Paris level when you first play as Anna. It's got a nice "the adventure begins" kind of feel to it, especially with the music.

Many.

- Ocean House Hotel from VTMB.
- Family Matters / Ladies of the Wood / Return to Crookback Bog from Witcher 3.
- The Underdark levels from Baldur's Gate II.
- The Jackson Heights sprint and circuit tracks in Need for Speed Underground 2. Many excellent corners.
- The 11th GDI level in the original Command & Conquer. It's difficult but the feel when you finally beat it.

EDIT: Ooooh yes. Level 8 in Battlezone (1998). Blast through the canyons dodging artillery fire, then do a jump run up to the artillery's plateaux in your hovertank, explode said artillery, and then move everyone to block the Soviet convoy, all while spinning plates to ensure that they don't sneak their guys round the long way and get you while you're still trying to do the jump run.

The Enclave Oil Rig in Fallout 2 and the Cathedral from Fallout are one of my favorite final levels.
For the Oil Rig, the fact that you can take down the Enclave is done by threatening the guy that runs the reactor to let it blow up in a delayed meltdown. One other way to do it is convincing a scientist who will see how fucked up the Enclave's plan is and decide to release the modified FEV in the base, killing the Enclave members that aren't inoculated. There's also the fact you speak with the President and see how mad his plan is along with fighting against Frank Horrigan.

The Catherdral in Fallout is a favorite due to the Master if he is the last target you face (assuming you blew up the VATS before hand). Although you can fight him like any other foe, you can convince him how his plan with the FEV is doomed to fail. What follows in convincing him is a rather sad moment for the Master since he sees how his plan is not only a failure but that it would only doom humanity.

Camp Omega from Ground Zeroes just because I spent over 50 hours running around and memorizing it like the back of my hand, all the little different kind of compartmentalized areas were amazing, and the way time of day changed or how they would switch up guard patterns and collectibles in the map was really cool.

Warehouse from Tony Hawk 1 just for nostalgia.

Endless Corridor was always my favorite realm in Foklore. That being said, I can't really think of any levels I absolutly love in other games...

There are games that have overall amazing level and game designs. But sometimes there are some particular levels where everything just clicks together perfectly. The game mechanics, the enemy design, the level design, the music - they all stand out to you in this particular level so much, you remember it for years, decades to come.

For me "The Town" from the original Painkiller. Everything there just blends together perfectly for me - dreary-looking town populated solely by zombies, necromancers and witches; amazing soundtrack, both ambient and fighting; weapons that give you satisfying feedback of gibbing enemies. But, best of all, your goal on the level to get the Tarot card is to use solely the Stakegun - perhaps one of the most satisfying video game weapons ever conceived. Everything about this just fills me with excitement every time I replay it.

So, what are your favourite levels in video games? Pick as many as you want, there's no limit.
