What are your special interests

Video games. I own a few consoles along with a (pre-buillt) gaming PC. I also have a sort of interest in looking up armor (especially the kind that doesn't get love like gambesons and brigandines) along with various weapons that are outside of Europe (such as Filipino blades).

Audio equipment. Everything from vintage tube stuff to the high end snob gear.

Automobiles/trucks. From a classic Pierce-Arrow to the Dodge Hellcat.

I also like looking at random old pictures of just regular people/places, trying to imagine what it was like.

Urban exploration.
I don't do a lot of exploring myself. I just like to look at other people's pictures/videos.

Over time it's been stuff like ornithology, geology, Egyptology, foreign languages, and Middle Eastern cultures.
Sorry to double post but my brain is shutting down due to lack of sleep and apparently this hinders my ability to add quotes to my dissertation of a comment but: how many foreign languages do you know? Did it come easily to you? What's your favorite?

Symbols, Symbolism. I also like mythology so they often intertwine.
Bitch I can go on and on about how hippogriffs are literally ancient jokes.
Its because Griffins ate horses. So the idea of a horse x griffin is hilarious huehueheuheueh.

I started learning Spanish in middle school, but really got into it in high school and college. At one point I studied Spanish for six weeks in Guatemala. Even though I haven't practiced Spanish very much lately, I consider it the foreign language I am the most proficient at.

I took French classes in highschool, alongside Spanish. Apparently I was so good at French (due to some of its similarities to Spanish) that my French teacher moved me up from 1 to 2 since the first class was too easy for me. In the present I would need to practice French a bit in order to understand and communicate in it.

I taught myself the Arabic alphabet before taking some Arabic classes in college. Surprisingly enough, there are some cognates between Spanish and Arabic due to the Moorish influence in Spain centuries ago. But unlike Spanish, I still need major review to get myself to be proficient at all, however. I miss Arabic. :(

In high school I tried teaching myself various other languages: Japanese (weeaboo phase!), German (thanks Rammstein music!), Portuguese, and Russian. For this reason I know little random bits of these languages to this day.

I really want to learn Mandarin Chinese at some point. Not only is it becoming one of the more prominent and important languages in international affairs like English, Spanish, and Arabic, but I am actually half-Chinese. Chinese is difficult to me not only because of all of the symbols in writing, but because of its tonal nature in the spoken part. Damn Asperger's hindering my ability to notice slight tonal nuances in language...

The 80s, VHS Tapes (hi Tape Collector!), propagating happiness and commitment, song-singing and karaoke.

I also really love exercise and weight lifting in the past few years too.
