512GB boot SSD
4tb WD black

I have so many mixed feelings about my set up. I originally bought the Alienware as a travel rig, but it slowly became my main machine and I now use it every day. The desktop has a bunch of issues, and I was thinking of pulling the video card out and getting one of those external GPUs, but the laptop already has a 2060 so I have no clue if its worth the $250.

CPU: i5 4690K OC'd to about 4.2 GHz
Mobo: ASRock Z97 Pro4
RAM: 16GB DDR3
GPU: ASUS GeForce GTX 1080 8GB ROG Strix
Monitor: ASUS VN247 1920x1080p
Storage: 512GB Samsung 850 EVO SSD, 2TB Seagate HDD
Case is some cheapo NZXT one
Logitech G502 mouse
Corsair K70 keyboard

I started the build as a budget one in 2013-2014 with a Pentium G3258 and a GeForce 750ti and it took its current shape in late 2016, I haven't gotten any major upgrades for it since. It still runs most games I play pretty well so I'm going to hold off on upgrading anything. If/when I do upgrade in a few years I'll probably start from scratch and get whatever the performance meta is by then.

I'm still undecided to get a new GPU, maybe for Cyperpunk 2077 GOTY, I mostly use my PC for gaming and making BD remuxes.

I also have a Surface Pro 6 for chilling on the bed.

I'm aware my main build has some shittier part choices. Especially the motherboard, that's temporary because the old board died. I do want to get a Ryzen at some point, but that'll be a while I think.
Also, I edited the post to fix some mistakes.

Download Speccy to get your PC specs: https://www.ccleaner.com/speccy

CPU: i9-9900k
GPU: Zotac GTX 1080 amp
Ram: 32 GB ddr4 3600 cas: 19
Motherboard: z370 gaming 7
HDD: HP 920 512 GB m.2 , 1TB Crucial SSD

notes:
CPU and GPU are watercooled with a custom loop with a 360mm radiator and a 280 radiator. CPU max peak was 74 and CPU hovers between 29-34 (after like 5-6 hours it will creep up to 40); these temps are under gaming loads, if I were to use a synthetic test temps would creep a bit higher.

I never intended to have three monitors, it just happened.

The first one is a Dell Ultrasharp 2410, 16:10 with a 1920x1200 resolution and a "10" bit IPS panel. It's 8 bit+FRC, but it is still very nice and it has all of the inputs. DP, HDMI, DVI, VGA, component, composite and maybe S-video, I haven't looked at the back for a while but I could hook up a NES to it and run it picture-in-picture. It's got different modes like Adobe RGB, sRGB and a game mode for lower latency. Cranking up the brightness to 100% forces me to squint, I don't remember how many knits it can put out but it's getting into HDR territory. Keeping it at 50% is more than enough. Really nice image quality that makes my kiwifarms shitposts look natural and realistic.

The second one is a cheap AOC IPS monitor, it's pretty decent for the price and I just wanted good viewing angles while reading PDFs and other content 16:X is absolute shit at.

Third one is a Dell, the U2412, yet another 16:10 IPS monitor. It's pretty decent, 6 bit+FRC like many IPS monitors, fewer inputs than the 2410 and it can't be turned up to be as bright as the sun. This was the addition I never planned to get, I picked it up when the university bought new gear, it was in perfect condition, nearly unused, very low lamp time and really cheap. I can't resist a bargain.

GPU - Radeon RX 5700 XT, CPU- Ryzen 7 2700X 6 cores. 16GB ram, m.2 2TB solid state.
Might edit in a picture of it later

It seems like speccy is reporting cpu thermals in Fahrenheit instead of Celsius but still listing it as C;

Ryzen 3600, hyper 212 black
Msi 2060 super
32 gb 3200 ddr4 lpx vengance
970 pro nvme 500gb
2x 2tb firecuda hdd
Msi x570 gaming plus mobo

Heads up for anyone else looking at getting a 2060 super, look for 8+6 power delivery, my 2060 is power limited to 1950 core +400 memory. It would have a lot more oomph with more power available. My card caps at 185 TDP, it can't pull any more without a sketchy bios update.

CASE:
Repurposed "Cheese Grater" 2012 Mac Pro.

INSIDE:

MB:

Asus ROG Maximus XI Hero Z390

PROCESSOR:
Intel Core i9-9900K 5GHz

RAM:
64GB CXPG Spectrix D41, 3800MHz (4x16GB)

GFX:
Gigabyte RX 5700 XT 8GB

SSD:
2x Samsung 1TB 860 EVO

HDD (SATA):
2x WD BLACK 6TB

HDD (USB3):
4x WD ELEMENTS DESKTOP 6TB

OPTICAL:
2x LG BH16NS40 16x SATA Internal BDRW

OS:
Windows 10 Pro / MacOS Mojave

Edit, it took a bit of messing about, and the inside looks a bit horrific if cables give you nightmares, although they are all tied well, but with the door on it looks stock, thanks to male to male extender cables for all the USB, the PSU, the HDMI, the DV etc, as I had to put the motherboard close to the front and a real Mac Pro has it wedged in the back, Didn't do the whole machine cut the back of the case thing out, because I don't have the skill or the tools, but everything fits into the relevant port on the back, admittedly with little 6" or 12" extensions from the MB, but on the outside you would not know it's a Hackintosh/Win 10 beast unless you really looked hard.

Even used the HDD mountings from an old G5 just to fit my extra HDDs in there, and changed the FW ports at the front to be USB 3, and you can't tell because I was very meticulous.
