I would say it seems back to his parents. They never raised Chris to be successful. They treated his autism as an excuse for everything he did wrong and never gave him the tools to be successful and they raised him to have an ego.

I forget the quote Bob said around his passing but it was something like Sonichu could be some shining example of an autistic person having success and that I think fed into Chris's delusion that everything he did was divine. Chris could barely manage a checkbook but they acted like he was some creative savant.

It's no wonder that when Chris was being fed he was some goddess that he bought into it. His parents were filling his head with delusions of grandeur for years before that.

Nah, they are the two of the same. Just different environment. They both never could grow up and admit that maybe the world is cruel and unforgiving, only way to save himself is stop being himself and start actually doings things that you don't like and face consequences of your actions and not do the same shit over and over again.

Chris has done none of that. Instead he has created fantasy world where he gets to escape and dictate the terms as he sees fit. He does this time and time again in his comics and CWCville.

Then when he could not get a boyfriend free girlfriend, he decides to Troon out in order to get accepted for "who he is" because, you know, you Troon out 100% of time because you are a sick fuck and in need of validation somehow.

Then he gets this fantasy ending to his life which is the merger because, once again, he wants the world to be at his whims and he could not tolerate the fact that he is nobody in this world and that he is a piece of shit who is too far gone in his narcissism. He is facing his end game right now. Barb is dying and demented. The house WILL get foreclosed upon Barbs death and he has no viable skill set, income, or wealth. He cannot live off the generosity of his life (thus far) and everything was heading towards an uneventual ending in his life.

So it was either fuck Barb and get some pussy....or eventual decline into homelessness.
 
Idk if Bella and her trolling op CAUSED this fiasco. It's certainly possible but I don't think there's enough evidence to say so yet, not for certain. I still think it's possible they were just trying to set chris up with Bella and Chris revealed this.

But at some point you have to grow the fuck up. Chris never did that. It's on Chris atm. Motherfucker (no pun intended) had a long time to grow the fuck up through his mistakes. His trolls literally told him in his face everything he needed to do and he still refuses to grow out of his delusion.

It's all on Chris now.

Unlike the smartest film critic in the world, Chris never would have amounted to much, but his life would have been a lot better if his parents did not raise him to believe that everything that went wrong was someone playing America's Favorite Game. Chris was shielded from his problems. Barb and Bob never had a plan for Chris after they were gone. Bob got tugboat for Chris, but it was about him and Barb. They took part of Chris's money as "rent" and spent it when they could have tossed it into an account and set up an emergency fund for Chris after they were gone.

Bob and Barb were interested in protecting themselves instead of thinking about Chris. They were worried how they would look with a son in a school for "special" little boys. They ignored advice of experts and called them homos. They were truly awful parents.

Chris actually turned out fairly decent all things considered. He was nearly on the cusp of normalcy despite his grandparent-parents failing over and over again.

Maybe I am wrong in this observation, but back when Chris was first discovered, it seems like the internet was a different place. I feel like a lot of the trolling of him was somewhat good natured. Liquid Chris was funny, he wasn't being malicious to him. Others said they were trying to "help" him in their own roundabout way. Sometimes it went too far, but most of the sagas that people remember from those times, overall were just funny, and not harmful to Chris either in the long or short term.

The stuff from the last few years, people exploiting him financially, playing along with his delusions, treating him like a celebrity, still doing the same old "pretend to be a boyfriend free girl", etc. Jeez, get a fucking life. The people doing this stuff in 2021 are just as worthy of ridicule as Chris ever has been.

Having a healthy sense of shame; the ability to delineate between when it serves you or weighs you down, is probably a big part of how you approach challenges in life. Chris had no ability to feel shame nor access the part of your mind that draws a mirror and assesses how others perceive you. He was just a permanent child being propelled by childish impulses 24/7, with no ability to look non-judgementally at his ego. Kind of like how an animal lives.

Sure, there are external factors in that. Had he been presented with the ideal childhood and developmental aid, maybe he'd be in a different place. But that's true of almost everyone. Everyone loses their parents, but not everyone is as dependent as CWC. Bob was more than CWC's father: he was his (imperfect) link to the adult world of responsibilities and accountability. With Bob's passing, CWC was confronted not only with the attendant grief, but an authority vacuum.

In a way I can slightly understand. Bob and Barb were from an era when special needs education may well have meant being mewed up in a place with straitjackets, men in white coats, and electric shock therapy. This is also why they probably believed it when Chris told them they held him down and recorded his screams.

Had Chris not been shoved into mainstream education which probably wasn't really right for him, he might have learned something or at least obtained some form of social skills. Maybe it's because I've been at the IV copium, but I like to think that there is some alternate universe where this happened and he managed to successfully enter into a relationship with Megan and in which he actually learned to draw.
 
Chris pursues his desires shamelessly with little regard for anything or anyone else. When he doesn't get his way, he throws a fit, tries to manipulate people, and gets violent when his cowardice allows for it. This event is in-character from my perspective. I think spending all his time online, locked in that house, etc., allowed things to progress this far. Not to mention the significant amount of enabling that goes on with him.

Chris was always this way, before the Idea Guys, before Bobs death, before Clyde... If he had adequate parenting and guidance in his life he might have held off for longer, but ultimately something like this was always bound to happen. As others have said in various threads, he's opportunistic, provided with a female incapacitated in some way or another this always would have happened. If he weren't so mentally fucked from the decade and a half of trolling, he might have been able to keep his rapes secret. Without internet access he'd likely still be raping Barb right now and getting away with it.

The ammount of copium in this statement is immesurable. You can not be blind and think Chris at some point was "innocent" of something. Guy attempted to run over a man for kicking him out of his game store, for crying out loud.

Agreed. Chris would be better off getting homeschooled but i doubt his parents would have time for that, nor would they care.
I mean, it's easier to just throw your troubled kid into school and hope for the best, right?
