I’m under some stress IRL, and I’ve just stopped getting hungry altogether. The only time I really eat is in social situations, but I don’t seem to eat much then. I’ve had issues with this in the past, but this time around is pretty intense. To be clear, I’m not choosing not to eat. I just don’t get hungry and I’m going multiple days without eating just because I’m not remembering to.

Obviously I’ve made an appointment with my doctor, but, I’m curious if anyone has any advice

Force yourself to eat food. It really works, I did a semi-controlled (time controlled) experiment on myself. Works the other way (forcing yourself not to eat food) too, but that's not your situation.
Idk how to explain it, it feels like my body is busted or something. I don’t get hungry, I don’t salivate in the presence of food, I don’t feel anything really toward the very concept

Become an anachan ethot like Eugenia Cooney.
What I’m dealing with is more in line with disordered eating combined with something physiological, though I’m just spitballing

Yeah? Do you think I was still hungry during parts of my experiment? Force yourself means force yourself.

Fair point. I’ve always had a really whack eating schedule, usually one meal at night, so I don’t have a routine built

loss of appetite and stomach pain could be an indicator of stomach cancer
But I wouldn't stress about it :smug:
No stomach pain, weirdly enough. I have had symptoms of hyperthyroidism the last few years, which would track with my heart stuff, but nothing has been conclusively tracked down

It's time to become a soylent gremlin.

Not a doctor, and this is not medical advice.
But, I’d schedule it. Treat it like a set task. Set an alarm on your phone. Pre make or meal prep small but nutritious portions for the next few days and put them in the fridge. Make it nutrient dense - don’t skimp on creamy sauces and meat. Something like an lasagne would be ideal. Alarm goes off, you eat it. Take a multivitamin pill once a day. Make sure you’re drinking enough water.
Loss of appetite can be a mix of physical and emotional things so discuss frankly with your doctor. They will want to exclude physical causes first.
When you do eat, is it ok? Like you’re not hungry but if I put something you like in front of you would you eat it? Would you finish a normal sized portion? Would you experience nausea or revulsion?

I usually eat enough that people stop bothering me about it, and it’s not revulsion, it’s just absolute apathy

Do you think meal prep and scheduling would work? Treat it like a neutral ‘thing to be done.’
lasagne is great for portioning out. Make a big batch, shove it in freezer or fridge.
Some people do lose their appetite in response to stress (I do.) then you don’t eat then suddenly realise you feel hideous.
You do need a good work up at the doc to exclude anything physical.
I think you’ll have to stop relying on hunger cues and set times each day where you eat
