Do you play modern or / remastered stuff through them?
Depends. I have a varied collection of vinyl, my favorite stuff recently has been this West African dance music from the 80s/90s called “Soukous”, it really bangs (look up “Kanda Bongo Man”). When I’m lazy I’ll just hook it up to a Bluetooth connection so I can play stuff on my phone (again, I like Soukous, but I have a lot of weird playlists). I recently changed the Fisher tube amp for a slightly more “modern” (it’s from the 70s) Fisher solid state amp with an FM tuner and I’ve been listening to my local classical music station pretty much all the time. I’m weird I guess. Thanks for asking.

Not weird at all. I play vinyl from the age it was created for through those speakers from the era. A lot of the beatles stuff sounds better in mono because that is how it was recorded. The mono mix of Sgt Peppers is so much better.

Um, wow. I can only imagine. I don’t know a great deal about mono records and the speakers/preamps/amps that one must use to get the best sound from them but I’m aware that they are very hard to come by and not cheap at all. Plus, early Beatles mono records cost a fortune I gather. I hope you are either A) loaded B) have a very loving relative with an incredible collection they past on to you or C) certifiably insane. Any combination would suit me fine.:semperfidelis:
