What do you like most about the Kiwi Farms? - Come for the autism, stay for the...?

I came here to laugh at exceptional furries on interwebs, stayed because of the neat community.
You guys are great! I love you all, my fags! no homo
I like that it's a mostly self-policing community.
It's a very friendly and welcoming site. Genuine anger between members is frowned upon, so all insults are generally made in jest and can be as absurd as you'd like.

man what kind of lame dick in the booty bullshit it ass gayboi is this you niggaz gay

it just seems like a bad idea to have majority rules mentality on banning people leads to people just getting together to get people they just don't like banned

I get your point. But we are part of a group here. You can say what you want to say and get neg-rated to hell (or not). The only real rules to be part of KF is to follow the rules and don't be an unfunny asshole who shits up threads. If one contributes then they'd be appreciated but it's not needed to be here. I've been negrated many times and it's fine. It's worlds better than having one moron ruin it for all with their nonsence.

And it's very hard to get banned here. (personally threadbanned from AnH and deepthoughts and still going strong.)

The mods (at least so far) seem pretty reasonable. All they do is move or combine threads/replies to minimize redundancy, among other basic duties; I've yet to see them try to force "their idea" of the site in spite of whatever their userbase says. In fact, they actually seem to ask for our opinions on things. I'm a newfag so maybe that negative stuff has happened in the past, but so far I like how they operate. Other sites' mod teams are quick to press their boot on the neck of users and terminate fun (4chan's hotpockets come to mind.) Null seems pretty committed to this whole free speech thing as well, despite all the baggage and detriments that brings, which I appreciate.

I also like people can have taboo discussions, from politics to race, and no matter how stupid your opinion is the worst you'll get is a rebuttal or negative rating. I don't know what amassing negative ratings actually does (I assume nothing) and being rebuked or debated with is a necessary fundamental of forum discussion. There's really no downside to being angry about niggers or Jews here, provided you don't do it every single post or can provide some sort of source to back up your claims. Nobody gets banned for being "offensive."

What else? I guess I like that animated avatars are back, even if I don't use one right now. I like that people here will crack a joke and (usually) can take a joke. I don't care about the actual lolcow aspect of the site, as I only come here to discuss the news, but that part of the site can be useful if one of the internet's many talking heads gets uppity. I like that the site isn't mostly white backgrounds (unless you pick the incognito setting.) I like that nobody's found my nudes and posted them yet. I like the little quotes in the upper right when you refresh the page. I like that I can post big, walls of text and sometimes other users will read them.

I like to come here to read funny shit and shitpost. There's no over-hyped content either so I don't have to worry about reading dumb bullshit.

I'm still upset that @debatelimination was banned. That guy was genuinely funny. Mods are faggots.

There's just so much information on so many subjects from the banal to the truly horrifying. The community is insightful and genuinely welcoming. What's not to love?:optimistic:

i like how i can speak my mind on things without being censored.
It's not reddit.

Pretty much this. Fucking hell reddit is cancer. Echo-chambers are unhealthy and reddit, by design, promotes their existence. It's a decent format for aggregating content, but every community/subreddit eventually devolves into a circklejerk.

4chan is alright, but I can't stand the layout. Prefer the more organized layout of forums like KF.

The userbase's collective IQ appears to be well into triple digits. My belief is that KF's reputation scares most dipshits away, and when a dipshit does stray into the Farms, the collective is pretty good at weeding them out. As a result KF offers way more latitude than many other fora, and can afford to do so as KF is pretty good at self-moderation.

Like many farmers, I'm an autist that somehow manages to get through life without screeching at everything and everyone. I've lost count of the number of ASD/aspie groups and forums I've rage quit because I've had to screech back at other autists because they take this "neurodiversity" shit way too seriously, as if being on the spectrum has endowed them with some sort of superpower ... and they don't like it when a fellow autist politely points out that they're just blursed. BTW: I'm aware this post is literally autistic, so I'm not going to reeeeeee at any autistic reacts that come this post's way.

I've lost count of the number of times where I've given the same poster "Winner" and "Autistic" ratings in the same thread. Most farmers seem to be good at judging each post on its merits, and giving their fellow farmers the benefit of the doubt ... for a while, at least. Something something enough rope.
