What game do you wish Phil would play? - AKA best future TIHYDP material?

Diablo 2

He talks about playing d1 and/or d2 (the story and dates change depending on when and how he is called out for his lies in his stories) like crazy but literally never mentioned it until its suggested. Friends I know lost entire years of their life to that game. You don't just forget that shit.

Also because it will stomp his shit in.
He'd get to corpsefire in the den of evil, get his shit ruined, and rage quit.

I wish Phil would do mod playthroughs. Seeing vanilla games is cool and all but seeing something like modded Terraria or Dark Souls 3 would be a change of pace at least.

For actual games it'd never happen because he wouldn't emulate, let alone get a console that can run them, but Pokemon Colosseum and XD: Gale of Darkness have oddly brutal level curves that punish speeding through the game. They also have double battles and later bosses have teams that start using team tactics, like Skill Swapping a Slaking (powerful pokemon that attacks once every two turns.) The salt would be great to say the least, for Colosseum because he'd get something down to the red and it'd use a recoil move that makes itself faint, but also he'd probably get extra mad because it's a 'baby game'.

I wonder if he delayed playing Metroid Dread cause shitting on of the most popular of the moment would've brought a lot of negative attention to him (and you he would shit on it cause the game is too hard for normies and he aint even on that level)

Like what happened with David Jaffe , he became a laughing stock cause he was so bad at the game and that gave him a lot of attention

Wonder how long it would take him to drop Underrail. Probably half way through a stream after he makes a shitty character build and gets fucked on for wandering someplace he shouldn't be.

Just saw today that Project Wingman came out for for X-Box Gamepass. He should play that and we could have a luagh at how bad he is at flying an aircraft in combat

I wonder how Phil would manage in Metroid Dread. I know he would fuck up the counterattacks and he will most likely forget he can slide under enemies. But the whole "how do i progress" would get him. Jaffe really showed how insanely retarded and out of touch he was, but a buddy of mine that started playing Metroid Dread suffered through the same thing and he spent roughly 15 minutes backtracking through the map trying to find out the way to progress when the way forward was hidden behind a destructible wall. The problem was that he shot 1 section when he could destroy 3 sections. I bet Phil will run in the same problem and complain constantly about secrets being way too hidden or cryptic, enemies being too abundant or not knowing what to do next (even if the game funnels you towards your next objective constantly).

And don't get me started in using the Shinespark. But i don't have hopes on him playing Dread because he didn't played Metroid: Samus Returns.

I also wonder how he would do in more obscure and unforgiving games like Brigand or Kenshi. He would most likely drop them after a session since he wouldn't be able to understand how the game works in general and getting frustrated after getting bodied 4 times for being careless or not understanding that trial and error through failure is part of the process.

Yup, it's a shame we'll never get to see him struggle through more obscure games, because even if he played them, all he has to do after he gets pissed is say nobody is interacting with him because of the game and drop it.

That or not getting enough money. I bet that even if he gets some serious hate viewers just to see him fail at Kenshi, Rimworld or Risk of Rain, he would still drop them like he dropped Nier: Automata when it came out.

He would get handheld the whole way through, staring at chat and pretending he came up with what they said himself. The only challenge he will ever face in games going forward are ones that are too new to have guides or ones where the challenge is in the execution.

That or blame the controls like he did in Metroid Prime. My bud who sucked at Dread had an issue with the free aim that you need to use to kill some bosses that need to be hit in the head. If Phil plays with the stick instead of motion control, he will be in for a rough ride.

But yeah, he will get his hand held hardcore abour secrets and where to go only to claim that he is "Interacting with the stream chat"

I love that everything you said is true, yet the pussy still ran away from it. TIHYDP has beaten him so severely that not even the chat hand-holding is enough to give him strength.

Remember that everyone, any time you feel the urge to get legit mad over the pigroach. Remember that we already won. Remember that we ruined his streams forever.

I'd say getting all the endings of the original Drakengard. Because even if you know the bullshit weapon requirements, you still have to do it and they are not easy or quick (one has you need to play a mission for 25 minutes to unlock the weapon). Also the game has some real dickish enemy design, such as the red enemys that counter magic and the dragon. Also since the final ending leads into Nier, it'd be funny watching him try prove how much of a Yoko Taro fan he is.

Or the third game for that manner, though getting his sexy-woman hating ass to play it would be harder work than would be acceptable.

Basically any VR game. Phil can barely handle an interactive movie game with one-button QTEs, let alone something that requires some level of manual dexterity. Plus, accessing stream chat would require way more effort.

Oh, if he had to play the first Drakengard, he would suffer extremely hard getting all the weapons and grinding them up. Specially the mission where you are on a timer and you have to find a set of paintings on the level, look at all of them and THEN finish the mission in order to find the secretd weapon. He would never be able to get Ending E in Drakengard 1 since he would have no patience for it. He would fail and not try again since Phil only perseveres if it's necessary for progress.

Also, on the topic of games with women, i also root for him to finally play CodeVein since i think he would honestly like CodeVein. A Souls-like more streamlined, easier (since you have permanent companions that are pretty useful), less punishing when making builds (since stat customization can be changed) and more flexible in general with a hefty amount of content to chew at. But just because it has anime women with big anime tiddies, he cannot play it or risk Kat shanking him in his sleep.

Quake or Quake 2. Since he loves to pretend how much of a retro gamer he is, I would love to see him struggle playing one of them. Quake and Quake 2 took me about 4 hours to finish, I can imagine him dragging them out because of how slow and terrible he is at shooters(not to mention how he would probably go out of his way to look for every secret like he did with Doom 2016 and Doom II.
That Doom 2 playthough was PAINFUL! This is speaking as someone that spent HOURS and HOURS of all my pre-teens playing the ever loving shit out of it, including the deathmatches. I'd rather get a BJ from Jenna than have to endure that kind of CBT from Dave ever again.

Myst. Holy fuck, would Phil ever wage quit the fuck out of that! I've lost six months of my life until I lost my physical copy of it. I would love to see Phil stumble with just basic puzzles and mechanic's. Myst was one of those games where VERY small attention to details either made the game fun or it pissed you off. Of course, if Phil was to ever try to tackle that beast, he's going to call it "dated", "boring", and "people behind the scenes told me that they don't want me to play this anymore." or he's going to go all RE3 Remaster and it's the Nemesis Clock tower fight all over again tantrum.

he played Myst and had chat hand hold him through it
