You can't mention Fire Emblem autism without posting this self-insert romhack:
(skip to the 6 minute mark for the good stuff)
Further proof that waifuism in the FE fanbase has been going strong years before Awakening and Fates.

Anything made by Blizzard, Activision or Capcom, since even minimal-effort releases coupled with disgusting marketing practices are readily forgiven by their fanbases or even encouraged.

Honestly, the Star Citizen community doesn't strike me as autistic, it strikes me as some form of weird video game findom. The only way I can explain anybody spending 27k on a video game that probably will never come out is if they are getting weird sexual kicks out of it.

Old guy autism is always monetary when it comes out. I've blown thousands on flight sim shit, I got a ship in Star Citizen (for like $90 when it was in kickstarter) . My dad is an OG Trekkie who has literally tens of thousands of dollars worth of Star Trek shit (Including a few actual props from the Star Trek movies that came out in the 80s and TNG) in his garage with his will stating to give his collection to a star trek or sci fi museum when he dies. My great uncle has a room full of old Roy Rogers shit worth way too much money. My friend who just hit 50 has an attic turned in to a display area for all his Super-Man shit including a cape worn and signed by the primary stuntman for Reeves.

Old guys are incredibly autistic, we just choose to burn money as an expression instead of talking to other spergs about it online

The Resident Evil fanbase has some tism in it. But the fond memories overshadow the tism, at least for me.

The Borderlands fandom tends to shove itself face-first into 'tism territory, especially considering how (previous) head writer Anthony Burch replied to some criticisms regarding the writing, how the games without him were written in some parts (mentioning a lesbian whose primary character trait is that she's a lesbian, a musclebound beefhead saying how "friendzone" is an 'imaginary, mysogynistic word", and an unfunny joke calling out a character for calling gay people gay), and how the fanbase gets all whiny when you say that you aren't supposed to ACTUALLY like the dictatorial villain who's totally down to use his daughter as emotional leverage to feel like a victim and doesn't respect anyone or anything.

The game series itself has several LGBT individuals but it's another fine case of the fanbase gay-ing up the only explicitly-stated canon straight white dude then getting butthurt when people don't agree with their ships. Not to mention the random loot generator and the numbers. So many numbers and comparisons and farming and time-wasting.
