What Have You Cooked Recently?

Cranberries with blueberries. I don't have sugar to add to it so sometimes molasses helps sweeten it. Or Agave nectar. Cranberry sauce tastes better that way.

Past couple of nights have been lamb chops with thyme and garlic, with a side of green beans and new potatoes. I made chocolate chip cookies, froze most so we don't turn into Hamberlynns wolfing them all down, and yesterday I made a pot of chili with black beans, onions, tomato, and minced beef. Baking cornbread for lunch/dinner with our chili.

Last two days I've been making a pizza out of some store bought Middle Eastern flatbread, store bought pizza sauce, and shredded three cheese. Result was not bad for something improvised. Yesterday morning, I made some bacons and eggs. Had no toast so I used the same flatbread by putting it on the frying pan. It's all refreshing compared to eating out.

I made onion pie.

Onion pie is fucking delicious.

Viddya
I love that shit man, good vid too.

Mrs broke my fucking oven so for few days till amazon sends part and I get around too it we either will be mircowave or stove top or eat out or grill..

I choose grill.

Did lamb kebab with onions and far far far too much arak to sip on. Friend of mine is Iraqi, and said when you spin meat you don't use a glove, you take a slice of pita and the chef gets to eat it. Holy shit they are wise, eating a piece of lamb fat bread is wonderful.

Got another one of these bastards. 6.5 inch knife for scale.

Made soup that was a surprisingly big hit.

Did chicken katsu curry for my dad and brother last night.
Being the turbo-weeb that I am, I used a Japanese brand of curry mix I got from an Asian food shop in town. Turned out pretty well, even if the pack did make 5 servings instead of 3, meaning I'm gonna be having curry rice every meal for the next few days.
The rest I made myself.

Seared four chicken breasts in half a stick of butter and then placed them in a foil-lined rectangular baking pan. In the remaining butter, sauteed some chopped onion, a clove of garlic, and a package of sliced mushrooms. Added one can each of cream of mushroom and cream of chicken soups, a chopped dried ghost pepper, and some reaper paste, heated the soup mixture and then poured it over the chicken breasts. Covered the pan with foil and baked at 350ºF for about an hour. Ten minutes before it was done, added a spoonful of sour cream on each chicken breast. Served with egg noodles and some more powdered reaper.

Just recently I cooked a large chunk of salmon. Seasoned it with salt, pepper, thyme, oregano, and garlic powder but I forgot to add the juices of a citrus fruit. Instead I added Worcestershire sauce while it was in the pan. A mistake but better than not eating the meat of an animal that actually is good for you and it's definitely better than eating out.

I recently made kool aid pickles that are currently in the process of sitting in my fridge until 5 or 7 days have passed. I'm looking forward to cracking the jar open to try out my first attempt!

Earlier, I made cheesesteak sandwiches - I'm cooking veggies now like peppers and onions, because I find everyone's more likely to add a spoonful of veggies to their food if carrots are already steamed/onions are already caramelized/whatever. And I just want people to eat their goddamn vegetables.

I eagerly await your report! Also my last meal was pork belly with onions in a bun, I eat that far to often. Today I make pork tenderloin with a nice sauce and noodles. The sauce will be easy but nice, I love to make it myself. Just use the pan you heated the meat, add some warm broth (any will do), mushrooms, scallions and herbs. Then put in some flour, shake rigorously to dissolve it and bring it to a boil until it thickens. You guys probably know how to make sauce, but I just put it here.
