What Have You Cooked Recently?

Double order of risotto. Normal people use the rice’s creaminess to compliment sea food or buttery recipes for mushrooms. Lazy people like myself pour a bag of steamed broccoli into it and add some cheese.

friend suggested this weird recipe where i mixed leftover mashed potatoes with chicken strips, shaped them, breaded them, and deep fried them. surprisingly tastes good.

Post work out lunch (I miss carbs btw) greek yogurt, steak and 2 fried eggs.

It's amazing, how your body plays with you, squatz deep enough you want to puke and still have an upset tummy as you eat but your body is so starved for nutrients it just soaks it right down.

Best part I had a big fat nice proper t-bone (med rare with a few splashes of worchester sauce) not some panzy cheap cut steak.

I made a post-modern neo-Dadaist interpretation of fettuccine alfredo last night. Which is to say I tried to make scratch-made pasta for the first time since middle school home economics class despite not possessing a pasta maker or knife skills good enough to cut out pasta noodles. They were, uh...rustic! Yes, let's use that word. The alfredo was pretty good, and really the noodles were alright too. They just didn't look anything like fettuccine.

Spaghetti con gamberetti e rucola.

Prawns in a red wine, tomato, and garlic sauce, served with spaghetti on a bed of rocket.

Of course, I had to improve it by inserting an entire Carolina Reaper into it. South West Water best be ready.

I spatchcocked some game hends and pan seared them in some herbs and onion the other day and served it with some asparagus and mashed potatoes. It was pretty good.

Making pot roast today. For the end of July it’s kind of cold-ish, and definitely clammy out. And I needed to get it out of the freezer anyway.

Weirdest thing though. I grabbed the new container of thyme out to use, and the little fucker has completely disappeared. I fortunately still had a bit left in the old container, but I have searched my kitchen (which isn’t that big) and have come to the conclusion that I have lost thyme.

IS that what that stuff is? I saw the bag of taco meat at the store yesterday and couldn't figure out why anyone would buy frozen taco meat. Didn't even realize it was a meat substitute.
