Pickle juice.Haven't made it yet, but I'm making it tomorrow, fried chicken. I want to brine it tonight but I'm torn between what kind of brine to use, basic kosher salt and sugar or a new kind I've heard of that apple cider and salt.
Pickle juice.
I'm going to try that next time, sadly I didn't have enough pickle juice to brine. I've heard some really good things about it though.Pickle juice.
This looks really good, please share your recipe.View attachment 1530490
Just simple southern fried chicken, I'm really happy with how it turned out.
I got some ideas from here. This looks really good, please share your recipe.
Did you deep fry or shallow fry?I got some ideas from here.
The brine I used was a mix of kosher salt, sugar, garlic cloves, and some of my own hot sauce. I was thinking that the hot sauce would make it spice, it didn't but it did give the meat a nice flavor. The breading was a mix of salt, pepper, and paprika. I was really good.
I used my deep firer.Did you deep fry or shallow fry?
Update to the pie: tastes wonderful, somehow the inside was soup even though the crust was perfect. Might try using one can of peaches next time instead of 2
Alright. I did have holes in the crust too so...There are some tricks to preventing a soupy pie. Adding some corn starch or gelatin are such methods. You also want to make sure you got some holes in the crust so steam can escape.
