What Have You Cooked Recently?

Some outrageously good sausages, creamy mash and mushy peas, with onion gravy.:

I'd just watched Masterchef so this was my attempt at fancying it up.

A couple of those Lou Malnati's pizzas I got as a gift. More or less as I've heard, pretty good but overpriced. The pepperoni is better. The sausage is a bit odd, more or less a one piece patty over the entire pie. Both were entirely edible though. I bet I could actually do something more or less like this at home.

Chicken and noodles from a Scalfani style recipe that is mostly dumping things from cans and bags of frozen stuff. I roasted the chicken myself though.

I made a boullibaise for New Year eve, but I actually managed to make to much for my husband and me. We couldn't eat the leftovers last night because it's bad luck to eat crab and lobster on New Years day, so tonight I'm tutning it into chowder. I'm reducing the broth, thickening it with cream, and adding some more nugget potatoes (plus some carrots). I may make some Turkish bread as well.

We did this last night! Except with a cioppino (China has just blocked import of lobsters from Aussie in their latest 'we're not mad at all about you calling for a Covid inquiry' trade spat, so they are dirt cheap at the moment).

I'd never thought two of us couldn't finish the whole pot, but I really did make enough for 4 lol. So I picked all the mussels out, chunked the remaining lobster tail and kept it all in the sauce with the prawns and squid. Tonight I'll gently re-heat and toss with fresh pasta.

Queens of double duty over here.
That sounds delicious!

I just said fuck it and air fried some chicken nuggets. It was okay, especially with the bottle of barbecue sauce I found in the fridge.

I have a pot of Italian bean soup on the stove. This is one of the few times a Jack Scalfani video has inspired me to make something. Not because I want to imitate what Jack did but because it was so offensive I wanted to do it right. Also I happened to have a bag of the Hurst's 15 bean soup that is the main ingredient and have been looking for a reason to use.

Slow cooker soup. Sauted peppers and spices. And 5 cans of beans. Top notch farts.
I guess it's beans day.

buddy brought some leftover Bloomin Onion
: D
no sauce
D :

seems to be on the right track, threw shit together from this, had plain prepped horseradish instead of creamy, didn't bother with more salt, using it in about 20m instead of letting it steep, but it's definitely good enough for jazz

i mixed some canned spinach into some rice and added some chicken to it and put it in a pan and used hot sauce and cajun seasoning to flavor it. also added an egg to it and gave it a texture almost like risotto but not exactly like it. if it werent for the canned spinach, i'd give it a higher rating, but otherwise it was actually pretty good
just hoping those eggs were cooked enough for it. dont wanna get food poisoning
