What have you recently eaten?

I bought a pizza from this popup middle eastern spot (yea, I was skeptical) and I did enjoy it. He sold me on the white pie style chicken with roasted garlic, onions and green pepper. Alright bet. Former NYCer in me said give it a shot. Very good. He nailed everything but the crust. That pita style only goes so far. You can't fold it! 4/5 stars.

Partner made supper tonight. It's warm enough out he got the grill going. Steaks were medium, perfectly cooked.

I've been serving as a "tour guide" for my friend and his kid since he's moved closer to the valley and purchased himself a Platinum Annual Pass for Universal Studios Hollywood so I've been having days where I eat a meal there and have lighter fare for other meals.

That said I did recently go into the park's TERF-friendly section (AKA The Wizarding World of Harry Potter) and had some cold butterbeer and butterbeer soft serve ice cream, the former is nice and the latter has become a new favorite of mine. Now I just have to try the warm butterbeer but it does mean coming into contact with the thing I might not be able to stomach: British food.
My brother bought a case of that Jones Fallout soda and gave me one of each to try.

The sarsaparilla was my favorite. The grape one was okay and the Quantum one was vile.
I have a bunch of the sarsaparilla bottles in my main soda "storage area" and I had one recently, I want to say it tastes like their normal root beer soda but I'm not 100% sure it is due to me not having their root beer in a long time and being unsure if every having proper sarsaparilla in my life (from what I've heard the flavor profiles between root beer and sarsaparilla are similar, root beer pushes the needle towards a sweeter flavor while sarsaparilla is earthier).

I'd say sarsaparilla is a bit bitter. Given how people outside the US tend to think root beer tastes medicinal, that might be saying something.

I haven't had the root beer you've tried; I'm basing it off of Hey Song Sarsaparilla. I'd rather just have root beer, tbh.

Mixed leftover rice from Mexican takeout with shredded chicken breast, tomato, bell pepper, onion, an egg, and adobo seasoning

I've been eating Perfect Bars.

I don't know if I'd say Perfect, but they are delicious and seem nutritious compared to the candy I tend to scarf down.

Swung through Taco Bell for dinner and decided to try that new confetti cookie freeze. Way way too damn sweet and cloying. Should have known better but I had the munchies and I no think good when hungry.

I had a bunch of past "best by" produce and meat in the fridge, still edible but without much time left, so I made trash tacos street taco style, then with the leftovers, made a big trash scramble bowl the next day with four scrambled eggs. The only thing I bought was some fresh cilantro. Used my own hot Carolina Reaper sauce (cut with milder peppers so hot but not crazy).

A boiled hot dog with home made mayo, dijon mustard, cheddar cheese, home made pickled onions, and all on a toasted split-top bun. Had it with a Monster Ultra Blue.

Balsamic BellaVitano cheese mostly because the exact kind of truffled stuff I like is a lot more annoying to find on a casual grocery trip. Not bad, would try again.
