What have you recently eaten?

A frozen digornio pizza. on sale for $3.49 that and a banana or two is a 4 dollar OMAD. In this economy that's priceless. Put the rest towards the good food budget over the weekend.

Two bison burgers (just recently became a Costco guy so I've been more inclined to buy meat in bulk), and I gotta say it's fucking delicious. Imagine if beef also gave off a slight "sweet grass" flavor. It also feels and is more nutritional than beef, which is why it's more expensive. Other than the price I've actually found Bison to be easier to cook and much yummier than beef. Although beef will always be the best for steak, the second meat I will buy in bulk will be bison.

A few days back at a familial outing my father's friend's friend's- I think- acquaintance was giving out strips of his honeyed smoked salmon. It was firm like a jerky, but not tough. It was delicious.

I found an American style breakfast restaurant. I got french toast with fruits and a bacon hashbrown. It was good but very very very decadent. I feel so heavy now... but the french toast was the highlight of my week. Do people really eat this every morning? I knew it was authentic because I found a lot of foreigners eating there and the menu had English.. I want to try more American foods so I am open to a recommendation

This guy shows up in my shorts occasionally. He recommends Bird's Eye frozen vegetables and as someone that doesn't eat nearly enough veggies I snagged some that were BOGO at the grocery. I got shredded carrots and broccoli that I plan to use about half of for fried rice later. I just had the other half for lunch with some Cabot habanero cheddar (also BOGO) grated on top and a little bit of butter. Not picture-worthy as I stupidly poured the veggies from the bag and a ton of water came with them. I found some "tenderloin medallions" that were $15/lb vs $40/lb for actual filets and those were for steak frites last night, fried rice tonight, and maybe even steak and eggs in the morning.

I think for most people French Toast is more of an occasional treat than a regular meal (can't speak for deathfats though, there's people who start every day with Starbucks frappuccinos). A lot of traditional American breakfast foods can be so heavy, as delicious as pancakes and waffles are it's a TON of carbs to take in first thing in the morning.

My favorite 'Murrican meal is Salisbury steak with onion gravy, there's a lot of ways you could make it and it is fairly easy to do at home.

No, or at least not Americans of a semi-normal weight. The standard go-to for me (although I do not do restaurants much any more) is two eggs, over easy, with two slices of toast, bacon or hash browns, and the toast sliced into four triangles, one for each egg and the others for jelly.

And of course coffee or tea. There are still places you can get this for five bucks. But you can also just make it yourself.

The best incredibly decadent breakfast is the Full English. This should only be eaten if you're going to be spending the day working hard outdoors in the cold.

Broke my three day fast with a sumptuous brunch. Grilled cheese with bacon and tomato soup plus two pancakes and a pot of coffee. I think I overate since I feel really sick now.

Egg white omelette with steak, green pepper and mushrooms.
Do you actually buy egg whites or how do you get them? I love egg white omelettes and sandwiches, but the only time I make them is after making something that required a bunch of egg yolks (like crème brûlée). So then I'm left with the whites of a dozen eggs and have to eat them at some point.

I have a little yolk separator that I got at walmart for a dollar. You just crack the egg into it and it's like a little spoon with a hole in it and the egg white pours through but the yolk stays in the spoon.

Kürbispfanne:
- butter
- salt
- 1 onion
- 2 apples
- 1 Hokkaido squash
- some Thai curry because I'm the Curry Teafag
- two wheat buns per serving; pan contents are enough for two servings
