I think for most people French Toast is more of an occasional treat than a regular meal (can't speak for deathfats though, there's people who start every day with Starbucks frappuccinos). A lot of traditional American breakfast foods can be so heavy, as delicious as pancakes and waffles are it's a TON of carbs to take in first thing in the morning.I found an American style breakfast restaurant. I got french toast with fruits and a bacon hashbrown. It was good but very very very decadent. I feel so heavy now... but the french toast was the highlight of my week. Do people really eat this every morning? I knew it was authentic because I found a lot of foreigners eating there and the menu had English.. I want to try more American foods so I am open to a recommendation
No, or at least not Americans of a semi-normal weight. The standard go-to for me (although I do not do restaurants much any more) is two eggs, over easy, with two slices of toast, bacon or hash browns, and the toast sliced into four triangles, one for each egg and the others for jelly.I found an American style breakfast restaurant. Do you actually buy egg whites or how do you get them? I love egg white omelettes and sandwiches, but the only time I make them is after making something that required a bunch of egg yolks (like crème brûlée). So then I'm left with the whites of a dozen eggs and have to eat them at some point.Egg white omelette with steak, green pepper and mushrooms.
I have a little yolk separator that I got at walmart for a dollar. You just crack the egg into it and it's like a little spoon with a hole in it and the egg white pours through but the yolk stays in the spoon.Do you actually buy egg whites or how do you get them?
