What have you recently eaten?

Made some lobster and cheese ravioli (went to the grocery store and saw these red/yellow striped raviolis so I really wanted to taste them) from the grocery store with an aglio e olio sauce because it goes with any pasta.

Also in recently eaten, I got this hard candy that is salty licorice. It's salty and very bitter. My first thought on tasting it was this is fucking horrible. But then when I chomped down on it and finished it off, my next thought was I want some more of this and then devoured multiple pieces.

It's called salmiak and is almost an anti-candy in that it has predominant flavors of bitterness and salt, with only mild undertones of sweetness.

I love this kind of shit though, where the flavor is actually shocking.

It's also in licorice form. Warning that it is almost the Malort of licorice and licorice flavored candy.
I've had it in the licorice form, and as someone who actually likes black licorice, it was something that I was pleased to find was an entirely acquirable taste.

I'll do a shot of malort in your honor.

Atm I'm basically living off sandwiches. I go to the local chain grocery store and buy the discounted bakery bread for 75 cents. Keep one pack out and put the rest in the freezer. My main issue is that I make like 2 sandwiches when I do eat so I go through bread quick.
What's on said sandwiches?
Lunch meat, usually black forest ham, mayo and chips. I've found that putting your chips on the sandwich is a great texture and depending on the chip adds good flavor.

I ate a grapefruit.

Every time I eat one of those, my lips start burning a bit, not because of its taste, but like some form of reaction, maybe allergic? But it doesn't feel like that either, it's nothing painful or intolerable, and ends up disappearing.

No other citrus fruit makes me feel that, I could eat a raw lemon and none of that would happen.

It is possible to be allergic to only one specific fruit.

I would assume, but it's so mild that I'm not even sure if it's due to an allergy or not.

I'm allergic to nuts and such, so the difference between these is like night and day (I know there's several degrees to allergic reactions, but still).

i got shitty takoyaki yesterday, it was overcooked yet somehow gave me the shits

i feel my throat ever so slightly swell/have slight trouble breathing when consuming mango-flavored things (i am too scared to see what would happen with an actual true & honest mango) but am fully face-exploding levels of allergic to peaches. human bodies are fucking weird and allergies are weirder. i wouldn't doubt it's just a super mild one.

I have a similar kind of allergy to apples, but I can mitigate it mostly by washing the apple in hot water and wiping it dry. I've started eating apples frequently because they're a cheap snack and I think I'm developing a tolerance to it too.
