What have you recently eaten?

Setting up to have a curry dinner again. Still using white bread instead of Naan though.

I've been living off Lenny & Larry nutrition cookies and Coke Zero since the corona outbreak, please send help.

I tried making some roasted green beans, but the texture was really bad. Too tough and chewy. I think the pan was too crowded and so they just didn't get done right.

Last of the Brightside and Darkside Skittles. I've found that while the Brightside ones are overall better (the blue ones in Darkside taste kinda shitty), the Darkside flavors have the Lime flavor back.

So it's picking between overall better, or mostly good but has two of my more favorite flavors (I love dark cherry).

lunch

sandwich:
toasted spelt and honey bread with english mustard and butter with sea salt crystals
peppery salad
thinly sliced gherkin
medium sliced tomato
sliced roast beef (still warm)

coke in a glass bottle
1/2 tub halo top peanut butter cup flavour

it was delicious.

If you're roasting fresh green beans, my favorite is to toss them with sesame oil and salt and finish by tossing them with a bit more sesame oil and freshly toasted sesame seeds. It is impossible to overestimate how well this works. And by a "bit" of sesame oil I do mean a bit. The flavor is strong and too much oil makes them soggy.

The temperature is literally as hot as you can get and on the broil setting, and sit and watch until they're visibly and audibly hissing and spitting and a trifle toasted. A few seconds in the wrong direction and they're ruined. You can't do it too hot unless you literally have something like a coal-fired pizza oven in your house which I assume you don't.

You can make a meal of fresh green beans doing this. Also do cut the very tips of them off but I assume you know that.

I made a ham yesterday and had to get the leftover chicken out of what I needed to cook the ham in, so made stock out of it in the pressure cooker, and threw in leftover veggies from my last roast along with Amish egg noodles for chicken noodle soup today. It's a little heavy on the noodles because the other option was leaving some useless amount of noodles left over that wouldn't be enough to do anything with except sit around for months and get thrown out eventually.

Ham sandwich with chips. It's been a bit since I've had a good cold meal like this.

it's not double-posting, it's a second helping
was in the mood for some sort of jerky/cheese shit today to accompany a lot of drinking because of irl shit,

Seafood fritters! A bit spicy, a lot greasy, super good. Would have gotten a margarita too but those were fifteen bucks for a tiny bottle.
