Containment What If?

Assuming that the house is mortgaged, I imagine that the home would probably get taken away from Chris in about a year or two. If Barb was smart enough to pre-plan her funeral to the point where she pre-paid even part of her expenses (or all that she could pre-pay), then Chris might get some cash from a life insurance policy. That's assuming they have one. In any case, I imagine that him gaining any money would just prolong the inevitable and he'd eventually lose the house.

Chris would probably try to use the sympathy angle to live with someone at one of the churches in the area, but he'd probably get thrown out pretty quickly for his various antics. Even if he somewhat behaved, I imagine that there would be some trolls calling the house to scream "JULAY!1" and hang up. That would get old very fast. I think that Chris would eventually have to live in a group home. There are a few somewhat in the area, but it's a given that he'd have to relocate.

There are some decent ones in the area and many will give him some form of individuality, but he wouldn't have nearly the freedom he had with Barb.

Oh boy Chris could never do intravenous drugs. If he ever had to do it himself, he would be too inept and it wouldn't even work. Back in my 'younger' years I had a very short stint with heroin and the reason why it was short was because I shot up once, it was ok, tried it again, didn't hit a vein and the drug collected in a painful boil like pocket underneath the skin that would move if touched. That was enough to freak me out forever and I never touched it again.

If he ever had to do it himself he'd rush it, not remove the air bubbles, and probably give himself a fatal blood clot or whatever if he even did hit a vein.

He'd think that if a dementor would kiss him, they'd give him china also. And lose his soul, assuming he still has one :alog:

Does vidya count as a drug? If so, he's already addicted, as is evident in how his life has progressed.

This actually has me wondering on something else. Has Barb updated her will since the passing of Bob? Just a thought.

Wait the house isn't paid off yet?

Oh fuck.

Uh . . . Chris should probably get a better plan together than "find a girlfriend" if that's the case.

Barb doesn't give much of a shit about anything or anyone but herself, so probably not.

If you define addiction by its consequences, then look at the monetary, social and even legal (Pokemon League repatriation mission inside the walls of the gAME pLACE in the face of the lifetime ban) repercussions of his actions due to his habits of playing the games he has almost his entire life, I'd say he's got a crippling drug addiction to electronic entertainment.

So it turns out, he's got something very much in common with the younger generations of South Korean's Bob loved to socialize with so very much when he was alive. Like father, like son and apples not far from the tree and all that.

Knowing Chris he would refuse to admit he's addicted and say he only does drugs "socially" and refuse all help. And at some point he'd blame Megan for it.

No, but processed sugar and caffeine do.

Could we make the case he's addicted to fast food? All that fat and salt. I mean, it could be the inability to cook at home, but still...

There was that thread about Brian Griffin dying (I guess he's back? I don't watch Family Guy) a while ago, but the problem is that it was Meg that Chris cared about. But... what if Sega decided to kill off Sonic? Almost all of their material these days seems to be about melodrama starring a bunch of different-colored anime raccoons, so killing off the hero would not be out of line to drum up attention. How would Chris react if Sonic really WAS dead? Throw pennies at himself?
