Chris would probably bring up the "Judas kiss" shit again, offer Null forgiveness if he realized how screwed he is without a support network on the outside. I'm 50-50 split on Null wanting to be in control of Chris again or if he'd tell Chris to fuck off.

I helped Chris in part because I truly believed, and wanted to prove, and did prove, that he could earn money professionally as an artist with the right structure. With nothing but his living legacy and instantly recognizable 'outsider art style', people would voluntarily part with money for his art.

The other side was that he had never really done anything so wrong to deserve the contempt people had for him. Being a brat was always just a facet of his autism and upbringing. I never saw that as something to hate him for and felt that he'd grow out of it after Barb died.

It was always very transparent to me that the people rooting against Chris just wanted him to suffer because they saw themselves in him and hated that. His autism, his gender issues, his interest in MLP and anime. That's why they hated him but they just offloaded it to some cope like "he drew something racist in 2008" or "he made a 9/11 joke so he's a bad person".

Now, I don't care about his success, I don't think people would support his art, and I don't think he is or can become a good person.

I still think most people who hate Chris do so for reasons they won't admit. And to be clear, I don't hate Chris. I just don't think he should be allowed to live independently or with unmonitored Internet access.

What percentage of his haters do you believe to have hated on him in some kind of misguided attempt at helping him? I feel like there's a significant portion that torment him thinking that if they antagonize him hard enough he will eventually snap and abandon all his art and hobbies just to be free of them. The same might be possible for Ralph too.

I still don't think Chris is a bad person though, just someone wired (whether through nature or nurture) such that he's completely incapable of considering anything beyond whatever he's experiencing at the time. That means that he's pretty much unable to consider anyone else's perspective, not even that of his own past/future self.

This is probably not uncommon among his enablers. Obviously, you run one of the premier internet drama sites and deal with all the associated shit so your perspective is as 'canonical' as it can get with Chris (and the meta-topic of exceptional internet personalities) but you're still a human.

I don't think Chris fits the traditional psychopathic profile
  • none of his schemes ever work
  • he is extremely anti-charismatic
but he still elicits the kinds of feelings in others that allow him to maintain a parasitic lifestyle. Even you, Null, temporarily took leave of your senses and tried to help out, and ended up getting burned hard emotionally. We've read your views on the last few years. I felt the pathos, that feeling of 'losing Terry again', having your goodwill and optimism basically vomited back into your face without even a 'clean it up'.

It blows my mind that a """real"""psychologist has never had a field day with Chris and come up with a new theory of pathological behaviour. From my detached position, someone like Chris should have been getting treated like an outlaw, way before the incest saga. I cannot fathom how he ever got the benefit of the doubt.

He was suckering people in to feel sorry for him, he will continue to do so, and the scariest thing to me is that Null was one of those people. Its like no one even stands a chance.

Chris isn't worth hating.

That said, knowing (and predicting) that things will not end well for Chris is not the same as wanting them to end badly. Recognizing Chris is a bad person is not hatred; It's merely accurate.

Late but even when the US army was desperate for recruits in the mid 2000's there's no way they would have taken Chris. There are some dumb fucks in the military but even they can see when someone's too retarded to work with them.

you need an IQ above 85 to be usfeul in the military. they found that people with iqs below that had literally no real use.
maybe if it gets really bad we might recruit them as meatshields, but as of now, we aren't that desperate and we wont have to anyway. if things were really bad, the draft comes back.
