Chris believes in the cartoon world because it's "possible", he likes the idea of a cartoon world and also he has no understanding of scale. When something is "possible," and it's something he wants, he'll go with it. Just like it's "possible" a pretty woman with a job would make him her househusband.

But if you brought up an idea to Chris that he doesn't like, even if it's "possible" he'll say it's very unlikely or just even say "dat's not gonna happen." The things Chris likes feel more likely to him because he deserves them or he likes the idea in some way. Chris "invests" in lottery tickets, for example.

If this was back in the day when Bob was still alive, I imagine Chris would have reacted similarly to how he reacted to the many other trolls he had encountered up until that point. Today though, I can't imagine he would really say anything.

Suppose that Chris were to live in the world of Fallout. Now suppose that he finds himself in a similar situation to that of the one presented at the beginning of Fallout 1: Vault 13's coffee maker chip just broke and now Chris has been chosen to venture out into the wasteland to find a replacement. How would he fare?

Let's also suppose that he can't just shit himself and do nothing immediately or turn down the task of going into the wasteland.

Well, they would send him out first just to get rid of him. Actually, it'd be funny if against all odds he kept succeeding due to his idiocy. Like in that early mission where you have to save the girl from the raiders, Chris gets captured and they try to ransom him back to the village. And then Chris decides to show off his random access humor, which annoys the raiders so much that they brake down crying and let him and the girl go.

I'm guessing that in either case, everyone would initially side with A-Log, until they discover that he's not so different from Chris, and would turn on him.

I've heard that sometimes people will do things to try to become someone or something other than themselves after they've been molested. I remember you mentioning something along the lines that Chris really dislikes the whole "being male" thing in general, sort of a whole disgust sort of thing, although I know I'm not phrasing it as you put it exactly. It just kind of made me wonder if this is his way of dealing with what he thinks is a memory of molestation. Although I doubt very seriously that he'd actually put any long complicated thought into that beyond the rationale of girls being attracted to him being a tomgirl and just sort of something new for him to do.

I don't figure he was, it's mostly just a fairly morbid "what if". I imagine that if he was, he probably wouldn't be making accusations about it later on- Borb kind of strike me as the type of people who, when faced with something that is actually a pretty awful thing, would try to bury it and keep it quiet. Kind of like how Barb reacted to Cole's attempts to find out who his real father was.

I don't know, did they keep much stuff quiet like that?

And I don't believe Barb was necessarily lying about Cole's father. We don't know, and in fact, Cole doesn't know, who's right in that situation.

Actually, i havent been putting much thought to it, but sure, it IS kind of weird that she refused to acknowledge who his real father was, sure, the dude had all the reasons in the world to dodge the Burp-Bullet, but to atleast give (in this instance) poor Nut King Cole the name of his father, there might be something sinister behind it, or maybe just a one night stand best to be forgotten on all parts. My bet is that Blurb doesnt even know herself.

She might have told him who his real father is, and Cole just refuses to believe her. Cole didn't have a DNA test or anything, he was just running on emotion.

But yeah, definitely a possibility that she might not know herself.
