Containment What If?

If you removed all the infringing materials, it would just be a totally different comic.
I could see someone making a non-infringing comic about a normal dude of teenage who stumbles onto the Ancient Cherokian Prophecy and gets furry superpowers, which he uses to fight his neighbor's boyfriend and his evil twin. It would, of course, be incredibly stupid.
The Chaotic Combo's personalities and powers are generic enough that they don't rip off any specific copyright, they'd just have to be changed to whatever non-copyright-infringing species our hero is. The parts about fighting mallcops could stay, as could the idea of an evil college administrator who has an army of robots (as long as they're not "Transformers"). And then there are the handful of actual original characters like Count Graduon, Allison Amber, and Inos. So, there's stuff you could work with there.

What if Chris was a greenskeeper at a golf course and had to kill a gopher?

He'd try blowing them up like Bill Murray in "Caddyshack" but he'd get the wires mixed up and lose a hand from the resulting explosion.

If he killed himself, it'd be at least one thing he did successfully.

That's it. No more Internet drama for me.

If it's the current Chris, he will just rage on Facebook and that's it.

For thr Classic Chris, there may be a saga, but it may not happen because of what happened to SnapeSnogger.

Wouldn't it esentially be the Jimmy Hill saga all over again?

I doubt he would ever have the :pickle: :pickle: to do it, if he did it would be purely accident (which is actually pretty believable). However he will be missed (but for completely different reasons)

Re: What if Chris was put in a mental institution

Huge lifestyle improvement, more consciousness about how real wolrd work (if does a bit of effort), etc. Is the best thing would happen to him.

He'd get one of the cars started, run dryer hose from the tailpipe to his mouth, die in a small wildfire created by the car or Aerostar overheating, igniting the yard, Bob's shed and 14BC, possibly surrounding areas, and make regional news. If he created a significant wildfire in the process, he may finally get onto Wikipedia.

Re: What if Chris was put in a mental institution

Tard rage, stress sigh and :briefs: over having to leave most of his things at 14BC and choose what to take (methinks it would be his Sonic, Amy Rose and Pikachu plushies, DS, DS games, stereo, CDs, Game Boy and its games, TCG cards, Goosebumps books and Optimus Prime figure, and due to his history, he would have to relinquish the Megatron, iPhone, iPod Touch, Vita, laptop and keys to the Cadillac, Aerostar and Mitsubishi, and give up his driver's license), fighting authority, being put on constant watch or dayroom restriction a lot, then eventually being broken down to where he would grudgingly follow the rules, get a job at a Goodwill, Salvation Army or Pearl Buck sheltered workshop, then die in his early 50s of longstanding medical conditions, with only a tenuous relationship with an elderly widower alcoholic Cole and tattered relationships over the phone and snail mail with similarly aged, multi-divorced & haggard Kim & Anna. Cole would donate his things to Goodwill and move on.

^ At the risk of A-logging, I think you overestimate Chris. I think he'd probably squeal with glee as he watched them suffer, and be disappointed that it ended to soon for him. As for the sex slaves, as long as he could make them get jobs to support him and spend the rest of the day singing songs of praise to him he'd be fine with it. That it wasn't real love wouldn't bother him in the least, since his idea of love is so warped. To Chris, loving him means you serve him and devote your life to his pleasure and convenience while he gives you nothing.

Chris would make a facebook post demanding that someone sue the author for him.

And he had been exposed to many of the big-name classics, i.e. Maus, Watchmen, Ghost World, Miller's Dark Knight, All-Star Superman, Carl Barks' Donald Duck, classic EC, etc.? Read a book or two about the medium itself, at least McCloud's Understanding Comics?

How would it affect the creation of Sonichu? Would everything just fly over his head, or would he actually learn from them and put more thought into the narrative and visual design of his comic? Maybe he'd buy some materials better than Crayolas? Stress/laziness doesn't tend to hold back his level of effort when there's something he's genuinely interested in, however rare those things may be.

In reality, Chris has no understanding or appreciation of the comics medium, nor any exposure to its significant works. He just sees it as a convenient way to tell his shitty Mary Sue Sonic OC fanfics. But what if this was different?

Side note: any idea if he's at least seen the Watchmen movie? I bet he'd turn it off at the first sight of Dr. Manhattan's blue :pickle: .

Then again, I think you're overestimating Chris. The most you'd get out of Chris, following the wanton suffering of his enemies, would just be a simple goddamn-annoying "hmm yeah." Because there is no surprise about their punishment; it is, after all, the natural order of things.

(What would be worse, though: Chris squealing with glee at his vengeance or cold indifference?)

He'd still find something to bitch about after it was over.

Remember in Skyrim when the god of insanity suddenly grabs you and pulls you into oblivion? Does Chris have god damn Sheogorath on his side?

he'd be arrested for murder and finally admitted to a group home called "prison"

The world would be a much more different and scarier place if an insane man-child had the power to take revenge on the trolls (in his mind everyone is trying to troll him)

Re: What if OPL was trolled by SomethingAwful instead of 4ch

he'd probably be making the same tired joke about something awful being "something awful" in every comic and video.

we'd still have asperchu though, i think it's the kind of thing a goon would come up with. maybe even more creative trolling like that would've come too.

That was basically the plot of Girl Brought Down the World by Vivian Gee. It did not end well.

Better question yet: what if this younger sister was hot?

But would he ever actually bother to sue them himself?

if someone changed it around enough that it wasn't infringing on Sega/Nintendo's copyrights anymore, Chris wouldn't ever figure it out. Sonichu is the true and honest parodic combination of Sonic and Pikachu, and he'd never be able to conceive of another comic being "the same" without important details like that.

If the character looked almost identical to Sonichu, the method by which the character acquired powers was the same (with the "Perfect Chaos" thing switched for some dragon or alike), the villains and Chaotic Combo being the same, Patti episode, etc... surely this would be obvious enough to him?

Chris would buy every issue thinking someone finally picked up the rights to his original characters and will wait for the checks to roll in.
