Containment What If?

I haven't seen the show, so I don't know what kind of scruples Hell Girl has about the kinds of people she'll make contracts with. Is Chris is the kind of person she'd turn down because he's obviously an idiot? Would she have reservations about tormenting someone who doesn't deserve it? Can one person send multiple people to hell?

Otherwise, I think you've got it. I think he'd likely try to get Hell Girl to send everyone who's ever talked about him to hell, but if he's not allowed to, he'd pick one person (probably Megan or Saint Michael the Merciful) and ignore the cost of his soul. Then, when he finally kicks the bucket, he'd scream about how the damn dirty Hell Girl tricked him.

Chris would only use it if he rushed into the contract without reading it carefully. He's the type of person who's religious solely because he's afraid of hell.

They way he spends money putting himself into credit card debt makes me think he's more likely to look that the immediate reward of sweet revenge than consider the price that will eventually be collected. After all-
"Shindaato no hanashi dakedo ne" (Well, that's after you die.)

Hell Girl doesn't really have any scruples as to who she'll do a contract with. If you can contact her, she'll make a contract with you.

I think Chris would be intimidated by the prospect of Hell, but he'd make a contract with HG. He'd use it as a threat for a long time until he got really depressed and angry one day and used it. I can see him doing one of two things: he'd curse one person specifically or he'd make a YouTube video where he curses anyone who watches the video. However he wouldn't take the threat of Hell seriously, so he'd just assume that he could go to church every day and take communion enough to where it wouldn't pertain to him.

It'd be fairly ironic if his hell was the same as his life right now.

He spends himself into debt because he still thinks everything will somehow turn out OK. He can't think about the consequences of the future by himself.
Having a Grim Reaper hitwoman flatly tell you that you're going to hell? That's concrete in Chris's mind (well maybe not after she lied about Bob).

Hell girl will eventually tire of him and bring out her gay best friend Hell Guy (depicted in my avatar) to torment him.

If I remember correctly, the way it works is that the person gets some sort of doll thing with a red string around its neck that they have to pull before the contract is sealed. I can see Chris taking the doll and then making vague threats at people, but I don't know if he'd ever actually go through with it. Maybe if he flew off the handle and into one of his rages it would be plausible, but these days he seems to be displaying only crushing bitterness and (:_( .

Chris would be unknowingly shipped to North Korea in the middle of the night.

If Chris was to be shipped to North Korea, he'd |:( at the fact that he can't play any video-games in North Korea nor could he have any McDonalds. At best, he might be seen as a tourist who was supposed to be part of the whatever tour there was.

He would freeze up and go catatonic. A lot of natural responses works differently for autistic people; Chris freezes cold in his trail from trying to talk to a woman. What do you think would happen in a real danger situation? I think his "lets play dead" instinct would overrule the flight response a normal person would get.

I just read World War Z (finally) and the chapter on the otaku was relevant to this. He didn't realize his city went to shit for days because he was online, and only then it was because he finally got hungry when his parents disappeared. His weak body and lack of most practical skills meant he should have been dead. But at least he was smart, which led to his survival. Chris would have no skills with which to survive any kind of disaster.

It's a little more relevant than that because even after he realised what was going on he still retreated back into his computer world because this alternate reality was all he knew. Remind us of anybody?

Lets be honest though, I'd imagine we'd all act like Chris to some degree in a disaster situation... Pure panic, only with a little less :briefs:

I think :snorlax: wouldn't start as immortal. She would fuse with the hoard and become immortal existing only to consume, eating whole worlds to feed her never ending hunger. Her physical body would begin to deteriorate forcing her to fuse her very being with the hoard.

I wonder what would happen if they needed to evacuate the house (for a flood or something like that) and Barb just flat-out refused to leave the hoard.

That's why they have a mini hoard in Son-chu.

I have a feeling the love quest would stay exclusively on Adam & Eve.com.

Exactly. Eventually tard-rage would make him pull the red string of fate.

We might not even be aware of him.

He probably wouldn't have put much effort into making anything out of Sonichu, since the Sonichu News Dash was made specifically to attract women, and he was motivated to make the comic after the whole Mary Lee Walsh incident. All that would exist of Sonichu would be a crappy Tripod site with some even crappier drawings. Therefore, we wouldn't have the batshit crazy comic that drew the internet's attention towards him in the first place.

Basically, whatever changes to his personality would result are pretty moot since we wouldn't know or care about it.

I know Chris would never explicitly say he hates women, and currently swears through his teeth that he thinks of them as "equal companions," but he simply does not and will not respect women. Now, I don't think he hates them, but he definitely sees them as just a means to an end in his current utility calculation.

If he developed a hatred for women, he would probably demote them to the same tier as all those male "jerks," but he would probably end up secretly longing for some china to prove his alleged heterosexuality anyways. He would simply have some other scapegoat to blame his shortcomings on, and since he's so incapable of actually initiating anything, I don't think a woman-hating Chris would be any different from the Chris we currently know and love.

Brother, the incidents at the Game Place may have never happened. Trolls would've had a harder time getting him to do stuff. It would have lead to many different things

I would pay anything to see Chris try to last one day during the Mass Games training season. Needless to say, I don't think the Dear Leader would be too pleased with his "performance."

---
Long story short, Chris would get kicked out of Japan for being such a damned weeaboo. The only thing that would be positive about his experience is that he would be a little more free to 'express himself' there, especially since Japanese street style tends to bolder in general.

He would end up in a prison camp after thinking he was going to the Mass-Debating Games, or calling the Supreme Leader "Kimmi".

A lifetime of hell for Chris, an eternity of hell for Barb.

Now that I've watched the anime...

Hell Girl will deal with anyone as long as the motive is revenge. She does not discriminate, and will kill anyone, from 8 year old girls to innocent nurses. And you can only kill one person. Also she accepts petty revenge, like "This guy spilled coffee on me, he must die!"
