Charcoal is better, and deep frying is a pastime for fat black women.Cast iron Dutch oven or skillet

I love KOTH as much as any red blooded American but charcoal and smoking is the best way to cook your meat. Mike Judge operated a fireplace bellow in a fat mans ass, so dont take any grilling advice from him seriously.Americas hero disagrees with you
Deep frying is for fast food, fried chicken, and festival food, not exactly good things but still masculine.
Anchor seems alright too. Shame neither it or Pyrex really have borosilicate available stateside, thiugh I might get lucky at some point like the time I found a spouted, French-made, borosilicate mixing bowl on sale while wandering around a Dillards. Thing’s great for pancakes.Pyrex or GTFO
They can be ovoid or rectangular
Oh yeah those things. Come to think about it, I must've assumed that they magically appear in your kitchen once you become a parent. Here is another thing that everybody should have...a "graniteware" roasting pan.
They are perfect for roasting whole chickens or turkeys in with the lid on as it prevents the meat from drying out, yet when the bird is done, you can still turn up the heat by 20 degrees and take off the lid for a few minutes just enough to crisp up the skin.
This is what a lidded graniteware roasting pan looks like. They can be ovoid or rectangular, and the enamel can come in many colors ranging from black, red, blue, green, white, even yellow, but they generally have a thick, white-speckled enameled finish over heavy steel.

They can be very expensive when brand new, but they can last indefinitely as the enameled coating is very thick and tough and prevents the steel underneath from rusting.
You can often find them for really cheap in thrift/goodwill stores and if the enamel coating is not chipped, you can save a lot of money for something that will last forever if taken care of.
I have one. It looks roughly like this...I've never seen a rectangular one.
Not that I'm saying they don't exist.

I've gotten an electric turkey roaster, but for a couple years i didn't own an oven and you can't quite barbecue everything. They "magically appear" whenever you start making roasts as people often do for family meals as they are so useful for cooking whole birds/large roasts in.
Even though I am not a parent, I got one as soon as I was in college as making whole turkeys/chickens/roasts are very economical in terms of what you pay per pound vs how you are set for meals for a few days because of the leftovers.
Bah, the frying pans included with that set are stainless steel which are fine on their own I suppose but they make a mean cast iron one too as you're no doubt aware. I've got a couple of their things; two cast iron frying pans, one normal and one grill pan, and a dutch oven which I use almost every day. I've found that Williams Sonoma occasionally sells certain Le Cruset products for half off during and immediately after the holidays. That's when I snapped up all mine. Those things are at least $250 normally and there's no way I'm paying full price.I am torn on this. On one hand Le Creset shit is super quality in my opinion, and I have never owned a bad piece. On the other hand most of this seems so unnecessary. I feel like the kind of person who buys an entire set of cookware is never going to actually use it. And while I think the red is classic and looks pretty good, thats still... a lot of red.
Also a dutch oven is by far the best and most based of kitchenware.
Red cookware cooks faster, duh!View attachment 5426558

Gotta hand it to the chinks, the simplicity of only using a cleaver and a wok for everything is unparalleled.
Patrician. I used to have a pot made out of this and the sauces and stews i cooked in that were magnificient. Lost it in a move, sadly.enameled cast iron
Look at Mr.Moneybags. Vastly overrated IMO. Get a friend who owns a restaurant and accompany him to the restaurateur-only specialty shop, buy the exact same quality as LC for pennies on the dollar. Not sure if there are shops like this in the US tbqhfamalam.preferably by Le Creusette.
I bought mine in a second-hand warehouse that poor people use, 5€ mint condition. They had tons of these standing around, i assume people buy these, realize they only use it once or twice a year, like for the holidays, and then toss it because it just takes up shelf space. I ended up giving mine away to a relative for that exact reason. Here is another thing that everybody should have...a "graniteware" roasting pan.
