It is a late 1960s cartoon about an evil fighting golden guy from Atlantis. I thought he would be a fitting icon and username for internet boards (full of nerds.)

He reminds me of Skeletor, but noble.

One thing that is probably more interesting than superheros is that the way he was initially shown was through paper theatre (紙芝居.) Think of it like a poor man's kinetoscope, instead of having the reel flip through with a machine, the narrator of the story places a new paper to progress the story. I think this is why he is called the first superhero.

So this is kind of a confession.

When I first came to KF I had heard it was this awful trolling site, and basically... I had gotten into an online fight with someone and basically, I was gonna pretend to be him while making a KF account, in hopes you guys would go after him. It's what you guys would call "Gay Ops." (The guy I got into a fight with was a Streets of Rage fan, hence my avatar--which I just found via a google search).

But a weird thing happened... I actually started to like being here. So much so that I started just being myself and saying what I really think rather than trolling. I actually was gonna create a new account with a different username and leave this current name behind, before the Total Retard War happened.

I suppose I could always just tell the mods what I want my username to be though?

I chose my username pre-Christchurch/Vordrak, back when there weren’t as many eyes on KF and the tone of discourse around it was a lot lighter. It was meant as an ironic reference to how people like Vade would call us cyber-terrorists for archiving their meltdowns. Seems a bit awkward now that most mainstream institutions more-or-less agree with Vade’s take, but I’m not changing it anytime soon.
