To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand ONA forums. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of board culture most of the jokes will go over a typical lurker’s head. There's also the board’s superior outlook, which is deftly woven into it’s implementation- their personal philosophy draws heavily from Not being faggots like KiwiFarms, for instance. The site understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of their own jokes, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike the ONA forums truly ARE faggots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in the fourm’s existential move of swatting their only source of entertainment, which itself is a cryptic reference to the fact that the SFWA is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization of professional science fiction and fantasy writers and NOT A GUILD. I like @Hey Fatrick FUCK YOU and think he generally has good takes, though I disagree with the idea that the SFWA engaged in any malfeasance such that they would be guilty of "tax fraud" in funding Fatty's lawsuit; I can understand the bad feelings toward them given that, I suspect due to ignorance or deception on Fatty's part, their dollars were put toward an effort that was a massive affront to free-speech on the internet and they deserve, at the very least, a lot of bad publicity for it.

A video from a decade ago, I saw this one in the video about "worst / dumbest people caught" but this woman at the time who appeared to be a minor decided to larp as a muslim on Twitter and directly tweeted at the airline account that she "was going to do something big", She thought she was making a joke but the folks at the airline sure didn't, They reported her to the FBI and other agencies over it and even replied to her that they take those posts very seriously, She began backtracking and saying "I was just being funny, I didn't mean any harm" Edit: Didn't know she was Dutch but she ended up turning herself in for it, Still a really stupid thing to do though and you'd likely serve in federal prison for this in the U.S.
A few years ago I came across this Youtube account and the guy behind the account decided to joke about using anthrax on his neighbor, His neighbor reported it and he was raided by the police or feds over it because he thought making that remark was funny.
@Chamulum on this site joked about attacking a daycare last year and Null was subpoena'd by the FBI over it, Chamulum thought he was being funny when making that post but actually got the site being part of an investigation because of it and had a visit by the feds.
You see the pattern here though, There needs to be some boundary to what someone can joke about before it crosses into legal territory.

Anyways this whole thing has become just too gay by now. Hopefully Pat screws up Confusion2023 somehow and we can go back to our regular schedule, as fatly as possible.
