I chose pretending to be victims while holding a lot of the power. Most social media sites will boost these left-leaning activists and actively fight for left-wing causes. It isn’t enough though. The internet activists will then claim said social media is still too “problematic” because people that exist with opinions they don’t like is bad. Meanwhile, anything remotely different from the status quo gets shadowbanned, deleted, or the person saying it gets banned altogether. Afterwards, they still play victim and then have the audacity to be surprised at the growing backlash. Most people would like to be left alone, but they are incapable of doing so. They’ve become everything that they supposedly hated thirty years ago. I’d rather take nagging church ladies again over what we have today. At least the nagging church ladies mostly stuck to churches and local institutions, the modern nagging church ladies of today are in pretty much everything and if you say you don’t like it, you’re called a white supremacist. This all wouldn’t be as much of an issue if people were less complacent and willing to give into these psychos though. They brag about how they "refuse to agree to disagree" when it comes to their belief system. They talk about compromise as an idea, but won't actually make any compromise when asked for specifics because "it's too important to back down." They talk about unity, but unity to them is "everyone now believes what we believe." But again, they will still hold you accountable for shit you did 20, 40, 60 years ago.

What I find fascinating is how woke ideology becomes part of how they view the world. Speech isn't allowed if it is working against the goal of "ending oppression." It doesn't matter if it is true if it is plainly visible. It also allows for speech which is false if it supports this goal.

They see the modern world and civilisation built upon upholding oppression. Of course, oppression is bad but they aren't concerned with actually ending oppression. Nothing is practical, they're focused to see everything as oppression and just want to tear it down. It's anger, annoyance and frustration that everything exists.

The hypocrisy comes from if something is seen as working to end oppression or not. If something doesn't align with the goal, it can't be said, must be censored and they also often seem to actually not see it. I hate to use this example, but the BLM adjacent riots and violence is a really good one.

As BLM is seen as working to ending oppression, anything negative can't be said. The fact riots and violence occurred in their wake could not be said as it was seen as working against the goal of ending black oppression. Yet it went deeper, people acted as if it wasn't happening. Or if they acknowledged rioting, looting, violence etc, it was good because it worked towards the goal of ending oppression.

We can get into the notion of echo chambers, feedback loops and media not informing people of what was going on. Which is part of the censorship of anything that works against the oppression. Yet that doesn't explain reporters standing in front of carnage painting it in a good light. They're prevented from actually saying what is happening, because doing so may harm the goal of "ending oppression." Yet it seemed as if they couldn't even see it for what it was.

People literally could see all the horrible shit going on, but couldn't acknowledge it as real, wouldn't and would ignore it. The censorship and oppression of anything that works against the goal of ending oppression seemed baked into how they viewed the world. If you dared to want to speak about it, you got attacked. Not because what you were saying was false, but because it went against the goal of "ending oppression."

When it's undeniable, it's excused as justifiable because it aligns with the end goal. People are smashing up a Target for the goal of ending oppression.

Now there's this Nintendo Switch ad where some white guy is competing against a black lady. Of course he loses, and has to take a "bath" in a bathtub full of ice. All of the popular talking points have already been discussed at length, so I'll just cut to the chase. The biggest reason I have such a visceral distaste for the left (despite being left-leaning on plenty of sociopolitical/socioeconomic issues) is largely due to the left's blatant ignorance on all matters involving race/ethnicity/whatever the fuck it's called nowadays.

Like I've said countless times in the past, I'm a sand nigger. My experiences with race have been heavily coloured by my interactions with both the left and the right. I've experienced some pretty fucking nasty racism in my time from ignorant, right-wing boomers, but I'd argue that their obscenities are infinitely more bearable than what the left does. The left opts to patronise everyone and effectively infantilise entire ethnolinguistic/religious groups because of this latent saviour complex that they tend to have. I'm a fucking grown-ass brown person from an ethnically, religiously, and linguistically diverse region of the world; I don't need anyone talking down to me as if I don't understand the basics of how other societies and cultures operate.

No better is this demonstrated than by the left's ever-growing fetish for Islam. Please make no mistake; I'll defend Islam wherever possible because the scripture, nasheeds, qawwali, ghazals, along with all other other forms of Islamic religious music, the rich tradition of literature and art, among countless other things genuinely brought me peace in some of the darkest moments of my life. However, my experiences with Islam are not the rule. There are deep-rooted cultural and societal problems within predominantly Muslim regions of the world for countless reasons, and to deny otherwise is to deny reality itself. Despite all the praises that I can sing of Islam, it's the religion most prone to extremism because the premise literally relies on both Muhammad being an unparalleled übermensch and the Qur'an being the word of God, verbatim, as dictated to Muhammad by Gabriel. Even if Muslims, on the whole, aren't all terrorists, that doesn't change the fact that many devout Muslims take the religion more seriously than they probably should. If I were to talk about the lack of Muslims who emigrated that want to assimilate into Western society, I'd basically be writing a whole fucking thesis on the subject.

The bitter reality of the situation is that you can't please everyone, nor can you accommodate everyone's desires. You would think that the left would understand this, considering how much they try to relate pop culture to IRL events. Alack, that doesn't happen, and the result is a bunch of quarter-assed policies that don't satisfy anyone and have countless holes in them that lead to more problems down the line. As much as I stand to benefit from these one-sided policies, preferential treatment of various groups always leads to conflict. This type of thing happens all the time in third-world countries, yet the left is so up its own fucking ass to the point where they fail to realise that they're plunging an otherwise amazing society into the goddamn ground by repeating mistakes that the politicians in my home country end up making all the damn time.

To recap: if I were to say anything that I said in this post in my home country, I'd be executed on the spot for violating blasphemy laws. If I were a white man and said this on social media, I'd be cancelled, and my reputation would be dragged through the mud. However, I'm given some degree of immunity to criticism specifically because I'm a brown man. That's fucking messed up, and no one ever seems to talk about it. Besides escaping political and economic unrest, emigrating to the USA let us say whatever the fuck we want without fear of being persecuted. I can't help but feel crestfallen knowing that despite not being in a third world shithole, I'm still witnessing (metaphorical) lynch mobs whenever someone goes against the grain of popular leftist opinion.
