What is your favorite dumb movie and why?

Killjoy (2000), because holy shit, it's Killjoy. It's not just low budget bad - all of the sequels probably had just as low, or even a higher budget, and they are unwatchable. Killjoy is soo bad, soo preposterous, you have to stand in awe of how entertaining it is.

Jay & Silent Rob Strike Back.

I do enjoy BOTH Clerks films (and how well-crafted they are, especially the first one.), but this bad boy sticks out the most to me in said series. I would have never gotten interested in the Clerks film series without it.

Dumb and Dumberer and the Hot Chick. Mostly because I think they got way more flak than they deserved. D&D wasn't that bad, it was just stupid and explains how Lloyd and Doug met. The Hot Chick was one of the few Rob Schneider films I actually thought were funny. The other would be the first Douche Bigalow. It's just a dumb comedy and it isn't trying to be anything but that.

Van Helsing. Monster movies are very easy for me to enjoy, and this movie reminds me of scenarios a little kid would come up with while playing with his Universal Monsters action figures. It’s gloriously cheesy, yet also builds an interesting mythos that makes me sad it never got a sequel to expand on it. Plus I’ve always had a man-crush on Hugh Jackman.

unaccompanied minors for me. I've been on flights a lot for vacations as a kid and after and getting stuck in an aiport is something I can relate to

This might just be bias on my part (or too obvious), but goddamn it, I can't hate the Digimon movie. I completely understand it's a poorly-stitched together mess, it's nothing but late-90s cringe thanks to executive meddling, and it reeks of Saban's signature gag dub, but there were still awesome moments the dub did right that helps give it a balance (Our War Game pretty much having all of those great moments, but Omnimon's introduction was too damn perfect in the dub). But also, I just have to give the dub credit in that it made the 02 movie(s) section much more entertaining and watchable than the original, even though I feel like there was a missed opportunity present in the original that was just completely erased from the dub.

The same goes for many of the Pokémon films and not just because of nostalgia purposes and that I'm a whore for Pokémon. Hell, it's not even considered a movie, but Mewtwo Returns tried to be a proper sequel to the first film, but it was rather dull and motherfucking Mewtwo was too angsty for most of it (and hence why Dan Green couldn't really do much), and yet I can't help but like it for its concepts. But hey, it culminated in Meowth telling Mewtwo he's being a little bitch at the end becoming one of my favorite character moments in the show.

It might be nostalgia, but I will always have a soft spot for Looney Tunes: Back in Action, as silly and objectively bad as it is.

I agree. I kinda get the hate for it and why it nearly killed interest in the franchise, but at the same time I could tell it wanted to be Looney Tunes and be the opposite of Space Jam (a movie was clearly '90s advertising schlock, but still fun). I will forever enjoy the art museum scene, I liked the goofy chairman of ACME, and it was amazing to see Duck Dodgers and Bugs Bunny duke it out with Marvin the Martian at the climax, but I think when it comes to the movie as a whole, they were a bit too on the nose with the satire in Back in Action.

Not Another Teen Movie. Probably the only "____ Movie" I actually like.
I love Not Another Teen Movie. I agree that it's one of the only "____ Movie" parodies that were alright. I saw it recently and I feel that it kinda stands up after however many years it's been, because all the tropes it makes fun of are still in all kinds of stupid teen drama movies/shows.

I find there are a lot of movies I liked as a little kid that I find mostly unwatchable now. Same goes for the TV shows I used to watch.
I can't watch most cartoons I liked as a kid. Something about them bugs me now.

But Billy Madison I discovered as a teenager, and I guess it takes me back to a simpler time of daiquiris and Nintendo's and jack off magazines...

It's sad that most kids these day will never have the unexpected pleasure of finding discarded porno mags on the side of the road.

300 is a stupid, stupid movie. It's a 2 hour action scene involving shirtless, ripped as fuck men stabbing the shit out of other people. And it's probably Zack Snyder's best movie. Snyder manages to make such a stupid movie work by making it absolutely gorgeous and visceral; sure you can blame it for that awful trend of slow motion, then normal, then back to slow, but by God does it work in 300.

The only thing that annoys me is that idiots thought it was historically accurate and would get pissy when I told them Spartans were Uber faggy and owned slaves and were incredibly cruel even to the point the Athenians thought they went too far.

Then the butthurt flew when I pointed out the Persians were actually a better society and that the Spartans got their ass whooped in the battle and the Athenian saved the day by beating the Persians in a decisive naval battle.

Idiots who think it was based on any historical fact and not a comic by Frank Miller should not be allow to breed or vote.

I liked his 2004 Dawn of the Dead. Obviously it's not anywhere as good as the original, but it's fun.

300 is the best movie representation of a game of Warhammer Fantasy Battle that I know of.

I've still never seen that one. I must have seen every parody "This is Sparta" remix, though. That movie just looked boring.
