I have a very superior IQ but I hesitate to say the number here.
As others have pointed out, an IQ test will not necessarily determine how well you do in life. Mainly IQ is to determine your ability to learn and it also depends on what kind of intelligence you have. Some people are really good with numbers or puzzles, others with language. I've taken about five IQ tests in my life, mainly over the last 5 years and the score has been around the same, consistently.
This may have to do with the fact that I enjoy puzzles. Tetris is my favorite game, though I do enjoy other classic games like Mario, Zelda, Final Fantasy, et al. it's been shown that when you do puzzles and other mental exercises on a regular basis, this can reduce your chances of mental deterioration as you age, it's also been shown that children who are not encouraged/stimulated mentally can be affected by this. In the end, IQ is a combination of nature vs nurture. You are born with the potential for a certain amount of IQ or your brains are wired a certain way (left or right brained for example) that will determine how well you do in pursuits. I know some smart people are not good with standardized tests, so they may perform poorly on it because their brains are geared towards different perspectives in problem solving.
In the end, true intelligence is comprised of a number of factors. A high IQ on a IQ test may be accurate for some people, especially if they perform just as well over a variety of tests, but not others who manifest their intelligence through processes other than filling in dots on a piece of paper or figuring out what comes next in a sequence.
I will tell you, a high intelligence as a kid was not always the greatest thing. It was no secret I was bright, because I loved to read, and I solved puzzles quicker than most adults I knew. I would sometimes get bad grades and my parents would be like 'but you're so smart, why did you get a C or a D???' or other inane comments like that. I remember I was at my aunt's house playing this game called 'Phase 10' and it was a stupid game in my opinion, I quickly lost interest in it and wanted to quit, and my aunt is like 'but why? you're SOOOO smart, you should enjoy this!"
I'm sure those of you here who have tested high on the IQ tests or were otherwise recognized as bright have had to deal with ignorant comments of 'but you're sooooo smart/bright'
