For a site with 100K+ users and countless more lurkers, there's obviously a huge diversity of opinions and a lot of people that take them way too seriously. Other sites like 8chan had a similar userbase but they were always way more fractured than this site has been.
What's the secret? Is it bullying new users into understand site culture and norms? Is it separating discussions into hugboxes and bullying users posting the "wrong" opinion in the wrong thread? So many other sites have crashed and burned with far fewer users, what's the secret here?
