my cat loves cold water with fresh ice cubes. She gets excited for it like normal cats might get excited for a nice piece of fish or meat. One of my favorite things to do is give her a fresh bowl of cold water in the morning after we wake up and listen to her drink. She will sit there and drink almost the entire bowl in one sitting. I can actually feel my happiness go up in real time.

What makes you Very Happy?

Any story told by @Cats, but more personally I think what actually makes me happy are small acts of kindness to people who really need them. There's this older custodian at work, for example, and I always pick up stuff that falls off her cart if I'm nearby and able to do so.
I think, in short, I like making the world just a bit better for the people around me.

Cats and clouds.
I cannot imagine the happiness I would experience from seeing a cat cloud

I end up helping strangers with mechanical issues a lot. I'm one of the few people who still stops to help stranded motorists whenever I have the chance and I've done a lot of emergency repairs at the side of the road. It's what I'm good at, so it's nice to be able to help in my own field. I don't charge people I volunteer to help of course, that would be kinda predatory IMO. Even when I did roadside assistance as an actual job, most people just did the bare minimum. Didn't properly torque wheels down and the like. I find there's a certain satisfaction in doing a job right.

Even dealing with customer service people, I try to be as polite and pleasant as I can. I've been in their position and had people flip out on me for no reason, sometimes one customer not getting in their face and screaming over something out of their control is all it takes to brighten someone's day.

I was extremely confused by this thread because I thought I opened it, but I opened a thread between staff members where somebody coincidentally posted this.

And since it seemed to fit, I was extremely confused when the subsequent posts were about things that would make individuals considerably unhappy.

Anyway, for me, it's hearing somebody's gratitude.
