Play system shock one, the controls aren't that bad...ok there bad but just remember it's a dungeon crawler not an fps and everything clicks.

Obviously. Got my OpenMW all backed up on an external drive. I don't really count it because I play it with so many mods that the system requirements go up enough to be like Cyberpunk 2077 if it was made by the Whittakers in terms of performance on older hardware. Same probably goes for Daggerfall thanks to Unity's modding capabilities.

I'll have to either emulate the PS1 version or pirate the PC version. Since I'm lazy and GOG doesn't have the PC version, emulation it is.

As the above suggested an emulator, maybe install MAME and grab some vintage arcade games from the 80s and 90s. You got some great stuff like Street Fighter, Double Dragon, Kung Fu Master, Mappy.
