Took a while for Taibbi's thread to really get going. The bit between Gadde (the weird Indian woman) and a congresswoman about the first amendment implications was interesting even if it's just confirmation that those Indians at twitter really didn't give a shit about the implications of what they were doing.

At the same time, it was revealed Jack Dorsey was pretty uninvolved with it all, just letting all these underlings run the place and engage with Dems who'd message about those specific tweets they wanted handled.

Makes me hopeful that Musk really can add Venmo like capabilities to twitter, because if he can make money off of banking-like services it'd mean they wouldn't have to rely on advertiser money that usually comes with the requirement of sufficiently censoring the site.

Anyone, especially if they are a politician or corpo executive, who says "X right/X Amendment is not absolute!" is not your friend. They are your enemy. They do not see you as a human being with inalienable rights to be respected. They see you as a slave. A serf. A peasant to be exploited and subjugated, or eliminated if needs be.
