I don't give a shit about the guy himself or depriving him of attention, but as AH said, all he does is unfunny boring shit. I would have voted to outright delete it if that were an option in the thread, but a containment thread I can ignore is just as good.

Idea Guy is like that horrible boring part in a video game that you have to go through, but don't really wanna. Maybe it gets better afterward and maybe not, it's something someone in control didn't have the foresight to realize it's a slog to go through.

In other words: - Every sewer, escort and under water level in every video game ever.

Maybe Ass Cloud from Eternal Autism 13, where ever level is a straight line, will level up out of this and go on to... just sit his ass back down and do something silly.

Trying to categorize stuff as "idea guy" related or not for the purposes fo containment is going to be a nightmare.

Aside from the fact that I'm not sure there's much content that wouldn't somehow fall in that category right now.

So the Idea Guy troll has been around for a few months and isn't showing any signs of letting up. In the meantime, his content seems to be unpopular here and a chunk of commentary in the threads is people complaining about him or debating whether he's paying Chris or not.

So what should we do with the threads? Merge into a containment thread or keep them as separate update threads?

Also, what should be done with updates where Chris reacts more, such as "Rosechu has a dick" or the video of him destroying the Christine Doll? Or updates where Idea Guy's influence is there but minimal, like in "Sonichu 15 Page 1: Dates" (where there's a Nazi reference by him, but the content of the terrible Sonichu art and the fact of Chris ripping off a fancomic is CWC's). If a containment thread is chosen, what should be done with those kinds of updates - put them in or have separate threads?
The poll is set to close after one day.

even though most of his stuff is garbage and belongs in the random chris updates thread, the youtube stuff is alright. Anything that isn't the same old "x character has done y" facebook update and isn't a paid song deserves its own thread, even if we all know Ideas Guy started it.

I'd like to add that at least he hijacked Chris in an interesting way and it wasn't yet another galpal saga as if it were 2009.

I'd honestly like an Idea Guy containment thread. Whether one likes it or not, it's content. Considering this person has some level of power over Chris, we might see things get "interesting", or at worst scary.
It gets too hard to follow then. There can be an update, then 20 pages worth of comments, then another update, then another 20 pages of comments, etc...

I'm thinking we'll just go with the stuff that's clearly him due to Nazi references or out-of-character stuff on Sonichu or whatever. If it's ambiguous (Battery Charge Heart), it can be its own thread. Or if his influence is minimal (like Sonichu 15's thread), that can stay separate.

There will be a directory listing in the OP linking to updates.

Finally, and this will be somewhat controversial. But I think that whatever solution is implemented by the mods, some moderation should happen so we don't end up with 100 pages filled with inane comments, all saying some variation of "KYS Idea Guy", that is shit-tier conversation I honestly don't wanna waste my time on.
Yeah. I think a containment thread would dissuade most of the shitpost-type remarks, and I'll probably delete the ones that get through.

Keep it as separate shit. What if Idea Guy is only getting started by using the Nazi/Russian shit because Chris is a fucking social media sucker? I mean we're talking about the most exceptional kind of individual who thought he'd grow titties from drinking soy sauce on all his food for fuck's sake. Putting it all in containment can get it mixed up with garbage when somethign BIG might happen.

Better than nothing.
No that's pretty much nothing. I mean if you contain it IG will move on from using our thoughts and hopes to using the ones from a much different place like Tumblr or 9Gag. IG is helping get certain content out faster which is good. The problem with it all is that Chris is fucking ten kinds of "I'M GETTING TO IT" lazy where all he does is shit and sniff his own feces.

But I feel like even if this is an annoyance, he'll just continue to push Chris into doing more stupid shit. At this rate, you all sound more like one of those cliques at Highschool than people discussing why the IG should be banned. We've put more energy and effort into calling the idea guy out for not being funny and using old ideas potentially, but we've not actually done more than that.

Frankly, and you can disagree with me all you want, I think the IG is laughing at us for raging and telling him to get raped or die. He's made Chris dance to his rhythm, and will continue to pull the strings until he gives up and tells us his tricks(assuming that ever does happen), or he'll go the way of Eyebrows and not give up a thing and leave even more people pissed that we learned nothing about why he did all this, or how he even made it possible.

Clicking "send" on paypal is a pretty lofty trolling trick.

Especially when it comes to generating the most boring Chris content we have ever seen.

Do you find this trash entertaining?
No but I find it entertaining you replied with the "Paid content" argument like that's supposed to prove something to me.

Face it, buddy. As far as Idea guy goes, we're the real autists here, and he probably didn't even pay a dime to prove it. Until you can come up with an actual argument, that's how I see it.

So he has spent literal months talking to Chris all day to get him to dress in tracksuits and squat over his fist like a good puppet.

How is that any better than paying him?

What about flagging threads the way the ADF sub-forum is run? I gotta agree with the sentiments other people have been echoing, I understand that containment threads get their own listing and the titles are updated but nobody wants to sit through 100 pages of Chris acting like a chav and screaming things at a camera coupled with discussions that need to be backtracked through to fully understand, it turns into a shit-storm of discussions interspersed with random updates.

I don't think he payed or talked to Chris for months.

I think the idea guy used the nazis as a Clyde Cash-style enemy, and then used this to gain Chris's trust. Then he'll pop up, tell Chris these "updates", which shock Chris into posting and puts more faith in him.
