I will present my opinion.

Britain, Canada, France, Netherlands, to some limited extent Germany have a common issue. The politicians are lefty, don't gate-keep leeches/perverted values/damaging values/self-guilt, destroy the cultural heritage, throw anything old as outdated or racist/bigoted and throw dirt at honest, worried people, calling them bigots. Also instead of acknowledging the mistakes made in the past, and move on, we have this exaggerated guilt.

One news I saw today was about how Canada would propose a fine a lot of money on anyone that would promote fossil fuels:

"It is prohibited for a person to promote fossil fuel, a fossil-fuel-related brand element or the production of a fossil fuel"

As a person who agrees that CO2 is part of the reason for warming, an it would be good to use more nuclear energy, this law is very harmful to democracy.

Fossil fuels are not like tobacco. Yes, I know oil companies are unethical, but we need to have a working industry and without them a lot of people would die. Especially poor countries. You cannot ban fossil fuels like that. I rather let the world warm than revert technologically/to austerity.

Also, LNG/Gas power plants can be cleaner so this type of censorship is counterproductive.

But don't take my word for it, go look at actual history. The British Empire's banks were huge in Latin America in the 1800s. One country, Paraguay, figured out a way to develop themselves and after a few missteps achieved the right balance of accepting foreign capital and self-sufficiency. This was unacceptable to the British banking cartel, who enlisted their fondest friends, Brazilian slave owners and Argentine/Uruguayan warlords, to go destroy Paraguay. Eventually they won because of sheer numbers and massacred at least 1/3 of Paraguay's population (some sources overestimate deaths) who heroically resisted until the end.

Today's conflicts are pretty clearly driven by this same globalist cartel.

That's just pop culture myths. No, Paraguay was not "almost exterminated", parish records show no more than half of the men in the country died (and probably less). It is interesting, but I'm also looking at a more broader range of British history than the latter half of the 20th century.

For example, in talking in terms of Margaret Thatcher, she did set up a lot of principles (either deliberately or inadvertently) that made Britain even shittier, but she came into power in a nation that whose glory days were already a distant memory.
