What's the best way to die in a video game?

In GoldenEye I used to like piling as many remote mines as I could on the computers in that snow bunker level and blowing up the entire command room with me inside of it just to see how big of an explosion I could make.

Any gut-wrenching, unforgettable tragedy you could have prevented 5 turns back while staring at the stairs to victory in your classic roguelike of choice.

Funniest one I've had while playing ADOM was deciding to manage my inventory by zapping un-ID'd rods to see what was worth keeping, with the third one turning out to be a rod of lightning bolt. Instead of being asked which direction I want to fire it towards, it shits out a bouncing bolt in a random direction which happens to be perpendicular to the 1x1 hallway I'm standing in. RIP Bossman the Ratling warrior, winning a 9x electric jackpot in one turn.

I don't think I played much of ADOM but I recall Nethack was a goldmine for dying in hilarious ways. I think one thing that happened to me was I drank a potion and got turned into a lizard, and then got killed by the crushing weight of my armor... Actually I can't recall if that's a thing that can actually happen, and it may have been in some text adventure rather than Nethack.

In Grand Theft Auto V: Steal a plane, take it as high over Los Santos as you can, jump out without a parachute, enjoy the temporary freedom of floating through the world, hit the pavement face first.

I've always been fond of adventure game deaths, particularly that of Quest For Glory's. Seeing all the different and unique ways you can fail, and being given a description of how badly you screwed up makes finding the ways to get yourself killed half the fun.

Dropping a 500K bomb on my feet to take out as many Enemies as Freedom as I can so the rest of the squad can get away with the samples.
