Summer is good if you garden or farm. Well, sometimes anyway. Drought, high temps, the higher likelyhood of thunderstorms, and lots of pests and diseases that love hot weather are not ideal. However, most of the crops we like do enjoy hot weather. Peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, corn, etc. Summer is full of mosquitoes and flies. However, late in the summer, I have that one month I can swim in the lakes near my house. If it is hot here, the humidity drops like a rock, so it is actually not as bad as it could be. However, there are often wildfires that get so bad we have had severe air quality warnings to stay inside with our air filtration systems on. One year, it was nearly dark from the smoke in the middle of the day.
I am more a spring and fall fag myself. Winter is as mixed bag as summer. Winter brings massive and powerful subtropical storms and power and water can go out for up to a week. But when it snows, it is pretty and I would rather have it cold than hot.
